It seemed like each time the Bulldogs needed a play to be made, Taylor showed up. A three pointer, a steal an assist, every play she made was right at the time it was needed to the tune of a 14 point performance. She handled much of the point guard duties and did well against the Mustangs pressure. Her play was a big reason that Bullis walked off with the title.

Taylor is coming into her own this tournament, showing leadership at the point with 10 assists against Elizabeth Seton and another 8 assists versus Rosedale Christian. She was flirting with triple doubles with a 14 point 6 rebound average in the two games.

Taylor was closing in on a triple-double falling three rebounds shy. Her 10 assists to go along with her 7 boards did show her court awareness and IQ. She shot well scoring 13 points while shooting 3 for 6 from the three. She was solid on the defensive end with a couple of steals, Taylor seems to be getting in her groove this tournament, I’m interested to see how she does moving forward as there are some high level point guards on the horizon.

3-point specialist. Bouncy and gritty guard play. Very vocal calling for the ball; showed a ton of confidence in her shot selection.

Taylor had a quiet shooting game to her standards but her presence was still felt. Her leadership commanded a double digit lead for the entire game. She finished with 6 points. Nonetheless, she can control the offense by generating buckets for teammates. Her head-up vision allows her to do all things with the ball.

Taylor has one of the quickest releases that I’ve ever seen. She transitions from her dribble into her shot pocket in one fluid, effortless motion letting the ball fly before the defense can react. She can create her own shot but just giving her any space to shoot is a mistake as she is incredibly accurate from beyond the arc.
She makes good plays so attempting to deny her the ball may be the best option or bringing a double team to try and get the ball out of her hands is also an option. The issue is that Bullis has so many offensive weapons you it’s hard to make the decision to leave a player to double her as you leave another dangerous player open.

In an interesting twist, the top player from Maryland leaves Bullis and heads the the Virgnia class and the top player from Virginia leaves the commonwealth to come to Bullis. Taylor lands in as a newcomer that we have been tracking already and jumped into the top spot. Her quickness, vision and shooting ability will be a huge asset as the Bulldogs look to make national headlines again.

Taylor’s entry to Bullis is causing a shake up and has put Sidwell’s lockdown on the IAC throne in jeopardy. She is super quick and her range extends well past the three point line. Her passing is exceptional and she will release her shot without conscious. There are several potential matchups that I’m highlighting once the dates are announced.

Firm handles; strong drive & kick. Blazed paths to the basket. Smart reads going full steam ahead. Fearless style of basketball. The more the defense tightens up, the more she elevatesher game.
