Vanessa possesses more of a wing frame and may ultimately project as a wing at the collegiate level rather than a traditional post player. However, her skill level in the paint simply cannot be overlooked. She is among the most fundamentally skilled interior players, utilizing an impressive variety of pivots, footwork, and ball fakes to create quality scoring opportunities. Her versatility allows her to attack effectively from the high post or wing, where her quickness gives her a significant advantage over virtually every traditional post defender she faces. She is relentless on the boards, consistently pursuing rebounds and creating second-chance opportunities. Vanessa is also an excellent finisher around the basket, combining her footwork, speed, and offensive instincts to score in a variety of ways. Her combination of interior skills and perimeter potential makes her an intriguing prospect as her game continues to develop.
