Yahmani McKayle showed off her range shooting the ball, and she was aggressive protecting the possession as she drove hard to the hoop. She knew how to keep moving on offense even after she passed the ball shifting the defense and finding the openings. She was quick on defense being able to jump in front of passes and disrupt the opposing team’s offense.

Mckayle is one of my favorite prospects in the 2024 class. She is lightning quick with an explosive first step on or off the ball. She has great handle and vision to get the ball to one of her open teammates for an easy bucket. She is fearless in the paint and her ability to finish with either hand makes her difficult to defend. Has confidence to knock down perimeter shots.

McKayle is confident and smooth faciliator with a scorers edge. She plays with confidence and attacks the basket with high efficiency. Her scoring ability and range is what makes her unique. She’s athletic, lightning quick, and can shoot it on or off the ball from anywhere. Playmaking guard with elite vision and passing.

was Yahmani McKayle. Yahmani was automatic from three, and what impressed me the most was the timing of many of her shots. When teams made runs, or her team needed a bucket, Yahmani always seemed to knock down a big shot. Yahmani shot 10/18 from 3 and was an assassin all weekend.

Yahmani McKayle may have been the most efficient scorer this weekend. She put up another gem against Pallotti with 18 points on 4/7 from 3. Then in South Shore’s final game against PVI, she had another solid game putting in 16 points and 4/7 from 3. Yahmani is a complete offensive player. She can handle the ball well, has good finishing, and can shoot the ball.

Yahmani McKayle was great all day at attacking the rim and finishing. She had an efficient 15 against St. Frances in a win. Then against Virginia Academy, she had 22, but in a game as low scoring as that one, that 22 felt like a lot more. Yahmani also made a lot of timely shots when Virginia Academy started to go on runs.

McKayle is pass first point guard. Confident floor general that looked to facilitate and spread the ball around to the rest of her teammates. Loves to find and take high percentage shots. She was locked in with her defensive assignment causing havoc for Susan Wagner all night, didn’t allow her to get open looks beyond the arc and forced Nicole Melious Nicole Melious 5'8" | PG Susan Wagner | 2023 State NY to work with very little space. Has a knack for finishing in the paint. Elite all-around defender with great lateral footwork.
