Then in South Shore’s final game against PVI, she had another solid game putting in 16 points and 4/7 from 3. Yahmani is a complete offensive player. She can handle the ball well, has good finishing, and can shoot the ball.
Kennedy Umeh Kennedy Umeh 6’4″ | C McDonogh | 2024 State MD and McDonough smothered Virginia Academy in their second game. Kennedy had a couple of nice moves attacking the basket and finished inside the paint all game. Laura Williams Laura Williams 6’2″ | PF Paul VI | 2024 State VA was as good as expected all weekend. Against South Shore, she had a ridiculous 21 points and 23 rebounds. She missed many shots around the rim, but her energy and size kept the play alive and let her team get extra possessions. provided her usual defensive effort. She scored 15 in both games on Saturday and knocked down 3 of her 7 three-point attempts. It’s a small sample size, but she looks ready to take on a more significant offensive role, and her jump shot looks like it’s coming along.
Adriana Mayorga
Adriana Mayorga
Adriana Mayorga is part of a tremendous 2026 class of guards Bishop O’Connell has. Adriana was pretty silent the first 3 games of the weekend, but she came up clutch in a close win over Riverdale Baptist. She was fantastic defensively and lived at the ft line all game. Adriana shot 14 free throws and sunk 10 of them. She finished with 19 points, and Bishop O’Connell needed every one of them, edging out Riverdale Baptist by 2.
Labrea Carter is physically gifted and super talented. She uses her physicality on drives and forces defenders to foul her. She had an efficient 16 against Bullis to go along with 9 rebounds. Then in a close loss to Bishop O’Connell, she didn’t shoot particularly well from the field but made her presence felt by getting to the rim and getting to the line. She was productive on the offensive glass, and her effort was fantastic. She finished that game with 21 points and 10 rebounds.
