Jaeda Wilson Jaeda Wilson 5’10” | PF Holy Child | 2024 State MD was one of my favorite players to watch at DMVlive. She arguably had the biggest offensive responsibility there and performed very well. Her shooting was one of the things that stood out to me the most. Jaeda shot a lot of difficult threes and made them. She took threes at a high volume, and since she was creating a lot for herself, they were not easy shots. In Holy Child’s first game against Good Counsel, Jaeda kept them in it with her shooting. She made 7 threes that game and hit 11 out of 27 overall.

Ivanna Manycaka shot the ball terrifically all weekend. She looked super comfortable off the ball. Her frame allows her to get her shot easily over defenders closing out, and her shot looks very natural. Ivanna could have taken more threes, but she picks and chooses her shots, which speaks volumes about her basketball IQ. She knocked down 10/21 from beyond the arc and only shot below 40% from three once in 4 games. She was also efficient shooting from the line, hitting 18/22 of those.
The only more efficient shooter who took more than 15 threes last weekend than Ivanna Wilson-Manyacka Ivanna Wilson-Manyacka 6’2″ | SF Bullis | 2027 State MD was Yahmani McKayle. Yahmani was automatic from three, and what impressed me the most was the timing of many of her shots. When teams made runs, or her team needed a bucket, Yahmani always seemed to knock down a big shot. Yahmani shot 10/18 from 3 and was an assassin all weekend.
Potomac School only played two games, and Sabrina didn’t play her best in the first one, so I hesitated to add her to the list. But the range she took shots from and how she played in her second game was too much for me to ignore. Sabrina only went 2/7 from three in the first game, but she had a fantastic second half in game two. She knocked down 4 total and had a string of possessions where she just came off the screens and comfortably rose and drained threes. She is fantastic at creating her threes and has a phenomenal jump shot. She also made all 5 of her free throws that game.
Nadeya Regala Nadeya Regala 5’9″ | CG Elizabeth Seton | 2025 State MD didn’t shoot well early this weekend, but she caught fire in Elizabeth Seton’s last game. It’s worth mentioning Elizabeth Seton ran through almost every team they played last weekend. The one competitive game they had was their final one, and without Nadeya Regala Nadeya Regala 5’9″ | CG Elizabeth Seton | 2025 State MD , they might not have won it. Nadeya knocked down 5 threes and finished with 24 of her team’s 59 points. I have seen Nadeya play in the past, and what always stands out to me is how difficult some of the shots she makes are. She can shoot while moving but is also a fantastic catch-and-shoot shooter. She has a green light for a reason.
Daniya Brown Daniya Brown 5’7″ | CG Bishop O’Connell | 2025 State VA kicked off DMVlive with a bang. She hit 3 threes and finished with 17 points in their first game. Daniya is streaky, but when she heats up, she is tough to stop. Daniya runs the floor well and relocates to find open looks. She is a great spot-up shooter and a nice complementary piece to the slew of good guards Bishop O’Connell has.
