1. Zia Cooke – Zia Cooke’s 43 points were the highest scored on the day. Zia, a South Carolina commit; was in complete control of this game scoring more than half of her team’s points. Zia has played in Michigan every year of her high school career, this was easily her best and most dominant performance. This is a long way from her performance her freshmen year against Country Day, which wasn’t bad but this is a whole new level.
2. Jordan Horston – Horston didn’t lead her team in scoring but she was a floor general in every sense. Horston did damage on the court in every category whether it was rebounding, passing or scoring. Horston is committed to Tennessee and showed why many people thinks that she is a sure fire McDonald’s All American.
3. Jeanae Terry – Jeanae Terry was locked in for Wayne Memorial almost notching a triple double. 30 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists. The near triple double doesn’t paint how effective she was in defense and even controlling the pace of the game.
4. Damiya Hagemann – There were times that Hagemann looked like the best player on the court. The spectacular sophomore scored 18 points for DEPSA, made dazzling passes, and her defense was stout. Hagemann is a top 2021 player nationally.
5. Kailee Davis – Davis is often the smallest player on the court but that never stops her from delivering. Kailee went off and nobody on the court could stop her. With a game high of 21 points, she definitely was one of the top performers of the whole event.
