Standout Players At USJN DC 17U Championships

<p style="text-align: center"><span style="text-decoration: underline"><span style="color: #0000ff;font-size: 18pt;text-decoration: underline"><strong>Standout Players At USJN DC 17U Championships</strong></span></span></p> The 32nd Annual USJN is a regular for the DMV as teams from all over the country converge to the DC Metro area for a long week of basketball to finish off their AAU/Club season.  This is the third year that the luxurious Gaylord Hotel and Resorts has been converted into 30 basketball courts of live action.  These are a few of the players that have shined thus far. <span style="text-decoration: underline"><span style="color: #800080;text-decoration: underline"><strong>SYDNEY BOONE - 5'7" - PG - BOO WILLIAMS 16 EYBL - 2021 </strong></span></span> [caption id="attachment_71133" align="alignnone" width="300"] Sydney Boone[/caption] Sydney showed of a great shot with range beyond the arc.  She penetrated very well through the defense and always had her eyes up looking for the open teammate.  Her passes were pinpoint and she was very good in transition. <span style="text-decoration: underline"><span style="color: #800080;text-decoration: underline"><strong>SKYLAH TRAVIS - 6'2" - POST - BWSL TEAM MARSH 17 - 2020</strong></span></span> <span style="font-size: 10pt">Skylah Travis</span> Skylah has a solid frame and is imposing in the lane.  She keeps her hands straight up on defense allowing her to alter shots without fouling.  She is a good rebounder and finishes on the offensive glass. <span style="color: #800080;text-decoration: underline"><strong>SYDNEY AVOLETTA - 6'3" - POST - LOUDOUN FLIGHT SHOWCASE 17 - 2020</strong></span> Sydney is long, she is very strong in the low block despite not having a thick body.  She passes really well out of the post and even has precision pocket passes in the lane. She has a really soft touch around the basket and is a good perimeter shooter. <span style="color: #800080;text-decoration: underline"><strong>CHETANNA NWEKE - 6'0" - WING - GERMANTOWN LADY PANTHERS 17 ELITE - 2020</strong></span> Chetanna has long arms and was good at blocking shots to start the break.  She played in the post but showed that she can do work in the perimeter as well.  She runs the floor well on fast breaks. <span style="color: #800080;text-decoration: underline"><strong>DASIA TOWNES - 5'11" - WING - LADY TERPS - 2020</strong></span> [caption id="attachment_71136" align="alignnone" width="300"] Dasia Townes[/caption] Dasia has a lot of tricks to get to the basket from the wing.  She is able to use either hand equally well and is a very good rebounder and finisher a the rim.  She is a scorer that is also unselfish looking for teammates regularly. &nbsp;
