Continue ReadingMany of the top recruits in Colorado’s 2020 class have already committed to where they will play college basketball, and many of them will play at the Division-I level. Many of them will also play their college ball right at home in Colorado. But plenty of the Centennial State’s talented seniors remain uncommitted or are still in search of offers.
Let’s take a look at a few who are still available.
Serin Dunne, 5-7, G, Mesa Ridge
One of the best ball-handlers and scorers in the state of Colorado, Dunne is Prep Hoops Colorado’s seventh-ranked senior. Dunne can use her varied arsenal of moves to get to the basket and finish acrobatically, and was 10th in the state scoring an average of 20.6 points as a junior. She has a killer step-back jump shot and can hit from all over the floor, shooting 42 percent (59 for 139) from long range last winter. Dunne reportedly has offers from San Diego State, Northern Colorado and Texas State. She plays club for the Colorado Hawks.
D’nae Wilson, 5-4, G, Sierra
A second-team all state player in Class 4A, Wilson averaged 16.5 points as a junior for Sierra last season and is currently the No. 12 player in the PGH Colorado 2020 rankings. Wilson also plays for the Colorado Hawks and is coming off a great summer circuit. A tough defender and a high-IQ point guard, Wilson doesn’t let her height limit her and plays with a chip on her shoulder. She also averaged 3.5 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 2.5 steals during the prep season last winter.
Seneca Hackley, 5-9, G, St. Mary’s
Currently our No. 13-ranked player in Colorado’s 2020 class and the only 3A player in the top 15, Hackley’s stock has been on the rise with two-time defending state champion St. Mary’s. She currently has offers from Metro State, Baker University and Florida Gulf Coast but still has not made up her mind. Hackley plays club for the Rockies and averaged 13.7 points, 4.6 rebounds, 4.0 steals and 2.9 assists per game for St. Mary’s last prep season.
Carly Thompson, 6-1, F, Cherry Creek
At 6-foot-1, Thompson is currently the 14th-ranked player in Colorado’s 2020 class. She runs the floor well and shoots the 3-pointer well for a taller player. Counting on a big senior year with more playing time in a very deep Cherry Creek lineup, Thompson recently received an offer from Western Colorado and will be looking to raise her stock even higher this winter. She plays club for BC Denver.
Emily Cavey, 6-0, W, Berthoud
Injuries have slowed her recruitment, but Cavey is still ranked No. 15 in the PGH Colorado 2020 class for good reason. She is a dynamic player at six feet tall and the consummate leader, as well as a gym rat, by all accounts. Limited to 11 games because of injury last season, Cavey still averaged 14.8 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.2 assists when she was on the floor, and is a fluid athlete and defender with a high motor. She plays club for Premier.
