McCrum is a talented athlete with a strong skill set. She is one of the top shooters in the state with range extending beyond the 3 point line. McCrum is a 2 way player that is strong on the perimeter at the defensive end. She has solid court vision which helps her efficiency. McCrum is constantly talking on both ends of the floor, always guiding her team and letting her teammates know where she’s at.
McCrum is always working to improve and gain experience as a player. She operates under the belief that there’s always something she can do better. McCrum is specifically focused on continuing to make her defense even more of a weapon. She points to her John Glenn High School squad going to the District Finals in back to back seasons and receiving a full ride offer from Ferris State as her top moments in the game of basketball.
McCrum would be a great addition to a college basketball program. Her skill set discussed above should be transferable to the next level. McCrum is more than her just her skills. She has a willingness to put in the work needed to be the best and is the type of player and person that makes her teammates better.
Carly McCrum is driven by her goals. On the court, she wants to win a state championship and be the type of leader, in practice and games, that makes her team better. McCrum wants to get a full ride scholarship to play basketball at the next level and eventually play overseas. She envisions herself as a personal trainer for college and professional players, eventually leading a college coaching position.
