One of those high level freshmen in this season is Morganne Houk. She’s a 5’6″ guard and attends Plymouth Christian Academy. Houk plays grassroots basketball with Factory Basketball. She is averaging 16 points per game so far this season.
Houk is a skilled young prospect. She has excellent court vision and a very high basketball IQ. The combination of these 2 traits allows Houk to be a very efficient player that makes high percentage decisions. She’s an aggressive defender that likes to cause chaos. She keeps her base low and can lock up opposing guards.
Houk is always striving to improve as a player. She’s working on her consistency from behind the arc. Houk feels that if she can connect on a couple more triples a game, with the same number of attempts, it will help her team win.
Houk loves the big moments that she gets to experience in the game of basketball. Her top moment so far was when her team took the floor in her first varsity home game. Houk liked the energy in the gym, from the fans to the music playing pregame.
The recruiting process will start soon for Morganne Houk. She has a lot to offer to a college program someday. Houk will bring a ton of energy to any team she plays on. Her hustle is contagious and brings out the best in her teammates.
Houk is driven by her goals. She wants to continue to improve, see success on the court, and have fun while doing it. Over her high school basketball career, she wants to win a conference championship and advance as far as possible in the state playoffs. Houk is aiming at playing college basketball and is considering a career in Allied Health. She is certainly on a path toward success in all of her endeavors.
