The Class of 2022 stock risers came out to compete. Here are some of the forwards who performed well throughout the season and was able to earn awards:

Grayce Henson is a 5’7 forward who plays tough down low and can hold her own with the bigs for her size. She is strong which gives her the ability to score in the inside and defend some of the bigger players. Grayce can also step out and shoot the three, scoring from inside and out, putting up a team high 12 points in a game at the end of the season. She earned All-Pioneer District Second-Team honors for the season.

Ally is 5’10 forward who plays hard on both ends of the floor throughout the game. She plays strong down in the post, being able to show different post moves or just power her way in and go up strong. Ally can also step out and knock down shots from behind the arc. In a Class 4 state quarterfinals game, she scored 12 points in a tough loss to end the season, earning 4D All-Region Second-Team honors.

Abbie is a 6’0 forward who is averaging around 14 points a game throughout the season. She is aggressive on the boards by getting offensive rebounds and going back up, scoring consistently around the rim. In a 4D Region quarterfinals game, Abbie scored 12 points, in which 6 of them were in overtime to clinch the win and advance to the Region semi-finals, earning 4D All-Region Second-Team honors.

Tamiyah is a small forward who uses her athletic ability to defend the bigs, post up, and grab rebounds. She can also step out and shoot the three on occasion, or putting the ball on the floor and attacking the basket. Tamiyah can also defend the guards with her quickness and intense play, causing turnovers, running the floor and getting points in transition.

Katie Claytor – Parry McCluer – Forward
Katie is a 5’10 forward who can also play the guard position, she can handle the ball and is also able to defend the bigger players with her size. Katie works hard on both ends of the ball by setting the tone and being a leader to her team. She is the teams leading scorer and has earned All-Pioneer District First-Team and 1C All-Region First-Team honors.
