Some are playing on rosters that are loaded with great talented collegiate level prospect players. Let’s take a look at some of the forwards that are in the class of 2023.
Ramiyah Byrd Ramiyah Byrd 6'1" | SF SPIRE Institute And Academy | 2023 State CO (James Irwin)
[player_tooltip player_id="145420" first="Ramiyah" last="Byrd"]Byrd is a player that has a high motor, tracking the ball down, and diving on the floor. Standing at 5-foot-11 Byrd is a versatile player averaging 14.2 points per game, 12.2 rebounds per game, 2.9 assist per game, 5.8 steals per game,
and 5.5 blocks per game. She has great size, length, and great in transition. She is the 13th player in rebounds in Colorado as a freshman, and recorded 10 double-doubles. Byrd scored a total of 241 points putting her in a good position to join the 1,000 point club as she continues to develop her game. Along with the 241 points on the season she managed to grab 208 rebounds on the season.
Amanda Byrnes Amanda Byrnes 6'1" | PF Brighton | 2023 State CO (Brighton)
Standing at 6-foot-1 Byrnes does a great job moving her feet on both ends of the floor. She shows the ability to be a

Byrnes averaged 4.4 points per game, 6.1 rebounds per game, 2.5 blocks per game. She showed signs of being able to push tempo off the dribble, and an able mid-range shooter. Byrnes was the second most efficient player on her team with shots 100 or more 43-119 (36 percent)
Nia McKenzie Nia McKenzie 5'11" | SG Eaglecrest | 2023 State CO (Regis Jesuit)
McKenzie shows the ability to disrupt offensive flow. She moves her feet well, great foot speed, and have active hands on the defensive end. Standing at 6-foot-0 McKenzie does the little things that uplifts her team. Despite have averaged 2.8 points per game on a team loaded with talent she has tremendous upside. McKenzie recored her season high in rebounds with 14. To go along with her 2.8 points per game, she also averaged 3.1 rebounds per game as a freshman.
Charlee Durtsche Charlee Durtsche 5'10" | PF Thompson Valley | 2023 State CO (Thompson Valley)
Standing at 5-foot-7 Durtsche is a versatile player that can play in the post or out on the perimeter. She averaged 4.4 points per game, 5.4 rebounds per game. She has a great feel for the game on the defensive end getting her hands in passing lanes. Durtsche shot the ball 43-109 (39 percent) as a freshman, and third on her team with rebounds in the season with 136. As she continues to add to her game Durtsche shows sign of being an all around player.
Taleiyah Gibbs Taleiyah Gibbs 5'11" | PF Mesa Ridge | 2020 SC (Mesa Ridge)
Gibbs made an immediate impact on her team averaged 11.4 points per game making her the second leading scorer on her team. Standing at 5-foot-11 Gibbs has length making her a threat on the defensive end. She shows signs making right reads while pushing the ball in transition. When she is on the floor she is efficient shooting the ball 87-179 (49 percent). Gibbs is also an able 3 point shooter with 17-53 (32 percent) as a freshman. To go along with her 11.4 points per game she averaged 6.5 rebounds per game.
