As players and teams hope to get back on the court this summer, several players have caught our eye in recent months in the 2022 and 2023 class that are poised for a big sophomore season in 2020-21. Among them are all-state selections [player_tooltip player_id="156308" first="Trinity" last="Lutters"] and [player_tooltip player_id="156312" first="Keeli" last="Knobbe"], among others. [player_tooltip player_id="156312" first="Keeli" last="Knobbe"], G/F, 2023, Sylvan-Lucas Knobbe is a tough-minded player who can score, rebound and play strong defense on the perimeter and inside. She is confident with the ball but can make plays off the ball and looks to move and make defensive stops. Knobbe averaged 12.4 points, one assist, 6.6 rebounds and 1.6 steals per game. She also was a solid shot blocker as she kept her arms up and looked to contest every shot she could. [player_tooltip player_id="156308" first="Trinity" last="Lutters"], G, 2023, Osborne Lutters is an intelligent young guard who can create with her dribble, attack the basket and score from three-point range. She is very consistent in her play and shows a great work ethic and the ability to rebound, forced turnovers, get to the free throw line and get up and score through transition. Lutters averaged an impressive 18.5 points per game through 24 games and added 1.6 assists, 4.2 rebounds and 2.2 steals. [player_tooltip player_id="48290" first="Kenzie" last="Strathman"], 6’0, F/C, 2022, Wetmore A good-sized option inside who has great lengths and a knack for being in the right place at the right time. She makes a statement on both ends of the floor as a rebounder, showing a way to come down with the ball in a variety of situations. She averaged 10.4 points per game and an impressive 12.2 rebounds. She also averaged 1.4 assists, 1.6 steals and 1.1 blocks per game. She has a good upside giving her size and playmaking ability and is motivated to continue developing her game. [player_tooltip player_id="158611" first="Daelyn" last="Winters"], 5’5, PG, 2022, Burlingame A quick player with the ball in her hands who runs the floor and looks to score and make solid passes to her teammates both on the perimeter and on the low and high post. She can rebound well for her age and can be counted on to score and make athletic plays. A several sport athlete who is quick and has a great work ethic and a lot of hustle.
