Miya Giles-Jones Miya Giles-Jones 6'1" | SF Terry Sanford | 2023 State NC – Guard – EE Smith – 2023
Miya Giles-Jones Miya Giles-Jones 6'1" | SF Terry Sanford | 2023 State NC was arguably the best player in the area in 2019-20 while leading her squad to a 31-1 record. She produced 13.8 points, 10.3 rebounds, 2.9 steals, 1.3 assists and 1.1 blocks per game in her freshman year as a two-way threat that starts her offense on the defensive end by snagging a ton of boards. In their victory over Jacksonville in the 3A Region Finals, she put up a career-high 26 points along with 13 rebounds. She returns after winning District 4 Player of the Year and the PAC Player of the Year award looking to do more damage in 2020-21.
Ke’Onna Bryant – Guard/Forward – EE Smith – 2021
Ke’Onna Bryant is a 5-foot-10 rising senior that did damage on the wing and in the backcourt last season for the Lady Golden Bulls. She’s a player that looks to operate off the dribble and get to the paint but she also won’t hesitate to shoot it from the perimeter. She put up 11.6 points, 6.3 rebounds, 2.4 steals and 1.8 assists per game in 2019-20 and is due for a strong senior campaign to close out her career.
Amiah Savage – Guard – EE Smith – 2022
Amiah Savage is a 5-foot-8 guard that was the third-leading scorer in the E.E. Smith rotation in 2019-20. Savage can do a little bit of everything on both ends, from scoring to rebounding to making plays for others. She put up 9.4 points, 4.3 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 2.4 steals per game as the third-wheel in their deep rotation from a season ago. With a majority of their production returning in 2020-21, she’s a prospect who should keep the trajectory going in a positive direction.
Harmony Martin – Westover – 2023
The Westover Lady Wolverines return after finishing 13-3 in the PAC, a few games shy of E.E. Smith and they return looking to dethrone the reigning champions with a young core of their own returning. 5-foot-8 guard Harmony Martin had a strong freshman campaign, averaging 12.6 points, 8.1 rebounds, 5.4 steals and 4.5 assists per game. She’s another young talent with a nice feel for the game already in the Class of 2023.
Jaden Ford – Guard – Westover – 2022
Jaden Ford is a 5-foot-5 guard that isn’t afraid to roam among the trees in the paint and show off what she can do. She’s a prospect that averaged 8.3 points, 5.1 rebounds and 2.5 steals per game in the Lady Wolverines’ backcourt in 2019-20. She’s a combo guard that can defend with energy and get to the rim and finish through traffic.
Aimee Evans – Guard- South View – 2022
South View is losing their top two seniors from 2019-20 but the return of 5-foot-6 guard Aimee Evans should continue to put them in the right direction. Evans produced 7.3 points, 7.2 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.8 steals per game for the Lady Tigers as they went 10-6 in SAC action. She fared well in the rotation while seeing her first real action at the varsity level and is due to make waves in 2020-21.
Clarissa Warren – Guard/Wing – South View – 2022
Clarissa Warren is another member of South View’s roster in the 2022 class to keep eyes on. She got some good experience in during the 2019-20 season that should help improve production in 2020-21 after averaging 5.0 points and 8.6 rebounds per game. She’ll be another backcourt player to watch for the Lady Tigers.
Madison Cypher – Guard/Forward – Overhills – 2023
Madison Cypher is another young, versatile 2023 prospect to keep watch on at Overhills. She’s a relentless rebounder and scorer that fared well in the early going of the season before going down with an injury that sidelined her after 11 games. She still managed to average 9.2 points and 9.4 rebounds per game before she was sidelined.
Skylar White – Cape Fear – 2023
Skylar White is a playmaking guard in the 2023 class at Cape Fear High School. She led the way for her squad last year with 12.4 points, 4.9 assists, 3.8 steals and 2.0 rebounds per contest and should be prime to lead them once again in 2020-21. She’ll be a name to keep eyes on once the season kicks off.
