When this is the case, it becomes important to look at not just the Top 10, but the 2nd then as well – 11-20. These athletes all have high level collegiate potential. That being said, let’s look at 2022’s “Second 10”.

Sarah Sylvester Sarah Sylvester 6'2" | PF Birmingham Marian | 2022 State MI (PF, Birmingham Marian)
Sylvester has all the tools of a big time player. She can stretch the D at the 4 spot and isn’t afraid to battle with the bigs for a board.
#12
Zoey Persails Zoey Persails 5'9" | CG Frankenmuth | 2022 State MI (SG, Frankenmuth)
Persails is a supremely talented perimeter player out of Frankenmuth. There’s not much that she can’t do offensively.

Lexus Bargesser Lexus Bargesser 5'8" | PG Grass Lake | 2022 State MI (PG, Grass Lake)
Bargesser is a top 10 talent sitting at number 13. Her bevy of recent Division 1 offers goes a long way in proving that. Bargesser is simply one of the best point guards in the state.
#14
Sydney Pnacek Sydney Pnacek 5'10" | SF Dexter | 2022 State MI (SF, Dexter)
Pnacek is a natural shooter with a very pretty stroke. She has range from beyond the arc and has proven lethal from the corner.
#15
Nevaeh Williams Nevaeh Williams 5'5" | CG Mt. Clemens | 2022 State MI (CG, Mt. Pleasant)
Williams in an underrated offensive firecracker. She can go off and score points in bunches. Williams is able to handle the ball or fill in a wing on a fast break.
#16
Alaina Diaz Alaina Diaz 5'7" | CG Hudsonville | 2022 State MI (CG, Hudsonville)
Diaz might be the highest energy player in the class. She can log heavy minutes without tiring and is always ready to break out in transition.
#17
Taylor Anderson Taylor Anderson SF South Lyon East | 2022 State MI (SF, Detroit Renaissance)
Anderson is one of the smoothest wings in Michigan. She moves well horizontally, which helps her free space on offense and stick an opponent defensively.
#18
Allie Carlson Allie Carlson CG East Grand Rapids | 2022 State MI (CG, East Grand Rapids)
Carlson could easily argue for a much higher ranking. She’s a shot maker to start, but she has a diverse game that allows her to always find a way to contribute.
#19
Myonna Hooper Myonna Hooper PG West Bloomfield | 2022 State MI (PG, West Bloomfield)
When watching Hooper play, it’s easy to see that she was meant to be a point guard. Her basketball IQ is high and she’s an excellent ball handler.
#20
Olivia Dirkse Olivia Dirkse SG Davison | 2022 State MI (SG, Davison)
Some college coach is going to get a steal with Dirkse. She’s an elite shooter from behind the arc and an underrated playmaker and athlete.
