Staci Williams Staci Williams 5'7" | PG Holly Springs | 2023 State NC (2023) led all scorers with 11 points. She shot the ball well behind the arc, but was even better driving to the hoop aggressively to get a bucket. She was an excellent ball handler and knew where to move in order to make a play for her team.
Alondra Arroyo (2023) was excellent playing the post. She has great length that she certainly knows how to use, and she scored in many different aspects inside. She had some great up and over moves as well as putbacks to score her 9 points. She even contributed multiple steals for her team leading to more offensive points as she pushed the ball up the court.
Victoria Sagne (2023) added another 4 points for her team but found ways to contribute all over the court. She had several blocks in the game using her height and her steals quickly turned into transition points for her team.
Milla Gnann (2023) was the point guard for ABC Lightning and showed excellent leadership controlling the tempo of the game. On defense, she had some great steals jumping in front of players to block the pass or jumping into passing lanes. These steals were quickly pushed up the court creating transition scenarios for her team.
For 1Dream 2022, Kylie Lewis had 5 points and showed that she can contribute in many different ways. She was aggressive with the ball driving into defenders to make a bucket. She showed she was a tough defender making steals jumping into passing lanes and making it difficult for players to get by her. Lewis even had a couple blocks in the game. She ran the floor well and always found ways to contribute on a fast break whether she scored the basket, found a teammate for a pass, or was there to rebound on the missed layup.
Gabby Cook was a great point guard for 1Dream showing that she could control the ball well no matter what pressure was put on her. She was also a good leader for her team controlling the tempo of the game. On defense, she was tough to get by with her quickness.
