After winning no fewer than seven games in the four years prior, Harris-Lake Park stumbled to an 0-21 season a year ago. The Wolves were very young, though, which should give them a reason to expect better results this season. Leading scorer Ava Rasche is back after posting 144 points along with top rebounder Allison Wallace and Tessa Gunderson. Wallace had 111 boards and Gunderson a team-high 15 assists. Zella Ingham and Emma Sidles were also regular starters for Harris-Lake Park.
Notable returners:
Ava Rasche – 6.9 PPG, 2.7 APG, 1.6 SPG
Zella Ingham – 4.2 PPG, 4.1 RPG
Allison Wallace – 4.5 PPG, 5.3 RPG
Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn Hawks
7-16 last year
36.8 points scored, 49.5 points against
12 returning players
Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn finished last season strong, winning its regular season finale and first round regional contest. The Hawks are hoping that provides them with some confidence as they must replace leading scorer and rebounder Hannah Jochims. Jasmine Lux, a junior, is the top scorer back and also top rebounder. She is joined by Taya Mason, Kaley Pearson, Olivia Grooters and a handful of others who got their feet wet at the varsity level.
Notable returners:
Jasmine Lux – 5.9 PPG, 5.6 RPG, 1.1 SPG
Taya Mason – 2.8 PPG, 2.0 RPG, 2.3 SPG
Lydia Harders – 3.3 PPG, 2.2 RPG
