[player_tooltip player_id="189301" first="Jalyn" last="Austin"] (SG, Southfield A&T)
Austin is an athletic 2 guard. She’s a natural playmaker that can put points on the scoreboard quickly. Austin will be fun to watch this season.
[player_tooltip player_id="189313" first="Zoie" last="Bamm"] (C, Brooklyn Columbia Central)
Bamm really made a statement last season. She’s simply too strong and too tough to contain. Bamm is the type of post player that simply controls the paint.
[player_tooltip player_id="189311" first="Sophia" last="Gray"] (C, Bedford)
Gray has the potential to be a premier center in the class of 2022. She turns and boxes out on almost every shot and seems to have a nose for the ball off the rim.
[player_tooltip player_id="189299" first="Markeita" last="Grays"] (PF, Wayne Memorial)
Grays is a terrific prospect in the sophomore class. She’s an exceptional athlete that has good body control, especially in traffic. Grays is solid in the open floor as well.
[player_tooltip player_id="190180" first="Megan" last="Gross"] (PG, Clare)
Gross was outstanding at the Top 250 and made everyone want to see more. She’s a speedy lead guard that can bury a 3 with her quick release.
[player_tooltip player_id="189295" first="McKenna" last="Macon"] (PG, Mattawan)
Macon was one of the top players statewide over the course of grassroots season. In fact, she was voted as the class of 2023 Co Grassroots Player of the Year. Macon played up all summer, and still managed to stand out.
[player_tooltip player_id="189294" first="Kristina" last="Peach"] (PG, Whitmore Lake)
I just need to see her play more. She flat out lights up the scoreboard for Whitmore Lake. Peach has the looks of an explosive offensive lead guard.
[player_tooltip player_id="189300" first="Shamya" last="Reid"] (PG, Westfield Prep)
Reid is a dynamic young guard. She’s like a lightning bolt off the dribble. Reid penetrates the lane and can finish in traffic or drop a dime to an open teammate.
[player_tooltip player_id="189304" first="DeAndrea" last="Smith"] (SG, Flint Carman-Ainsworth)
Smith showed the state what’s in store at the Top 250. She was unstoppable on the offensive end. It will be exciting to watch that carry into the high school season.
[player_tooltip player_id="190708" first="Mia" last="Zorski"] (C, Clarkston)
Zorski will play a big role in Clarkston’s success. She can be that anchor in the middle, surrounded by perimeter talent. She’s a physical post player that’s willing to battle on the glass.
