Over 60 prospects flooded the gym at Northwood University for Elite Camp, and they put on a show. Prospects had the opportunity to work with Coach Hunter, Coach Voelker, and the Northwood players during stations. One of the best parts of camp was the team builder breakout session, where prospects learned about "Team Kickbacks." Some statements by the college players that stood out included how team kickbacks support the program's core value of selflessness, promote being first to support teammates, and provide opportunities to build trust with each other.

A wise statement given by one of the college players for high school prospects to remember was that their reputation and identity in high school don't matter once they enter college. You have an opportunity to create a new identity, reputation, and prove yourself again at the college level with a new team.

In addition to skill stations, prospects competed in 1v1, 2v2, 3v3, and 4v4 games throughout the day. Here are several prospects who had a strong day at camp.

Ellee is currently the number one center prospect in the 2028 class and she proved why at Northwood Elite Camp. Ellee looked dominant in the paint and her pivoting footwork made her difficult to stop. She pounded the ball, backed down her defender, used a giant drop step, and finished the bunny with an up and under. Ellee drove middle, landed on two feet, and stepped through for another layup. She showed her range by stepping outside to drain a corner triple and imposed her will throughout the day. Ellee received an offer from Northwood in July, and they made a good decision to get in early.

A'leeyah is a prospect I'm excited to see this winter with Bay City John Glenn. She had a breakout spring with [program_tooltip program_id='932068' first='Michigan' last='Prospects'] and another noteworthy day at the Northwood Elite Camp. A'leeyah attacked downhill with a burst through the gap, landed with a jump stop, and countered to score a layup. She jumped to the ball, anticipated drives, and turned ball-handlers with her quick feet. A'leeyah is a sharpshooter from beyond the arc, an excellent facilitator, and a scrappy defender.

Layla had a solid day at the Northwood Elite Camp. She crashed the boards to grab an offensive rebound and finished with a smooth reverse. Layla accelerated down the baseline, used a quick crossover, and scored the layup. She buried a confident corner three and distributed the rock effectively to open teammates. Layla's a prospect who impacts the game on both ends--expect a huge sophomore season from her at Dexter this winter.

Delaney has a high reputation for her three-point shooting; it's in the family, but her complete performance at the Northwood Elite Camp separated her on the court. Delaney attacked with a burst off the dribble to beat her defender, transferred quickly to her left hand, and finished the layup. She showed excellent helpside awareness and rotated over in a hurry to block a layup attempt--had multiple blocks throughout the day. Delaney is a sophomore at Midland Dow who has the potential for an all-conference caliber season in the SVL.

Madison's game has been shouting at Elite Camps all of August. She was dominant at Northwood Elite Camp. Madison froze her defender with a hesi and went by with a crossover to score a floater off the glass. She drilled two corner threes and another in the slot. Madison penetrated gaps off the dribble and finished many strong layups through contact. She added another standout performance at Oakland Elite Camp. Madison blocked a shot with authority, and her smart passes created scoring for teammates. She worked hard to corral offensive rebounds and accelerated past a defender after a hesitation dribble to score a layup. Madison has the physical characteristics, basketball IQ, and multi-dimensional skills necessary to play high-level college basketball. She looks poised for a special sophomore season at Eisenhower, and Wayne State made a great move offering her early.

Lucy looked like a speeding bullet at Northwood Team Camp. She used a quick rip move to go by a defender for a layup, and her quick pull-back dribble dropped a defender to the floor. Lucy buried a straightaway triple and added another from the corner. She kissed a soft floater off the glass and converted tough finishes, going full speed to the basket throughout the day. Lucy is going to be an exciting prospect to watch at Lumen Christi this winter.
