Oakland University Elite Camp brought over 70 prospects to the O'Rena for a combination of skill stations, small-sided games, and many full-court 5v5 games. The entire coaching staff was actively engaged with prospects throughout the stations and games, which added value to the experience for attendees. The Golden Grizzlies are under new command with Head Coach Keisha Newell leading the charge. This was a great opportunity for me to meet the new staff and for some of our best prospects to make a great first impression. Many players had notable moments at camp--here are five underclassmen who greatly impressed me at camp.

Isabella was one of the best shooters in the gym at Oakland Elite Camp. She swished a pure triple in the slot, another up top, and continued ripping the nets with many three-pointers during games. Isabella finishes off two feet very well and combines length with quickness to drive by for layups. Isabella captivated a college coach in the stands with her offensive firepower and will be a top prospect at the Freshman Showcase.

Jayna's physical strength, relentless motor, and total impact at Oakland Elite Camp were reminiscent of her All-Showcase MVP performance at the Freshman Showcase last year. Jayna was an offensive rebounding machine, muscling her way to the ball and finishing strong put-backs off two feet. She used a quick crossover to drive by for a bucket, sized up her defender off the catch, and blew by for another explosive layup. Jayna showed her outside range with a smooth three in the slot and separated herself at camp.

Nuray has explosive quickness and finishes with power through contact. She refused to be stopped during the 1v1 tourney and took the ball to the rack like a running back, scoring multiple tough buckets. Nuray's ability to elevate and accelerate makes her extremely effective as an offensive rebounder. She buried a smooth step back jumper and won the 1v1 segment. Nuray did a good job of firing skip passes to open teammates during games, and her aggressive style stood out. She secured a D1 offer from Oakland University following the camp.

Logyn is a 2029 prospect who has appeared in our headlines often, and she had another noteworthy day at Oakland Elite Camp. Logyn's long frame, fundamental abilities, and selfless style immediately stand out on the court. She saved a loose ball going out of bounds, worked hard to secure an offensive rebound, made a smart backdoor cut for a layup, and buried a corner three. Logyn fired one-handed dimes up the court to open teammates and made extra passes for assists. She's a guard we're excited to see at the Freshman Showcase.

It's not easy to get run at a powerhouse program like Belleville, but Mo'Riyah has the talent to step into the rotation right away. Her playmaking skills and facilitation stood out at Oakland Elite Camp. Mo'Riyah showed off her shifty handles during 1v1 and used a killer inside-out dribble to score a layup. Mo'Riyah chased down many rebounds on both ends during games. She froze a defender with a hesi, then blew by for a layup. Mo'Riyah ran through the ball and made the extra passes on her drives. She took a steal coast to coast, changing hands in transition, and delivered a bounce pass on the money for an assist in the final game. Mo'Riyah is a prospect we're excited to watch at the Freshman Showcase
