Early Season Assist Leaders

Leaders in <a href="https://prepgirlshoops.com/2020/12/early-season-leading-thieves/">steals</a> and <a href="https://prepgirlshoops.com/2020/12/early-season-leading-rebounders/">rebounding</a> have been shared and now assists are up for a quick look. Photo: Robert Kelly.[/caption][player_tooltip player_id="91929" first="Amiah" last="Simmons"]<strong>, 5’8", Osawatomie, 2021</strong> - Simmons lead the list of top early season thieves and she is the leader in assists.  The Biola University (CA) commit and Blue Valley Southwest transfer is tearing things up in 3A.  Simmons is leading the state with 6.3 assists per game to go with 7 steals and 27.7 points per game through 3 games.  She also has a strong 2.38 assists to turnovers ratio. [player_tooltip player_id="125013" first="Traci" last="Cramer"]<strong>, 5’6", PG, Dighton, 2022</strong> - Through 6 games Cramer is averaging 5.7 assists to go with 5 points, 5 rebounds, and 4.2 steals.  She also has a 1.31 assists to turnovers ratio. [player_tooltip player_id="123510" first="Jaden" last="Newfarmer"]<strong>, 5’8", CG, Andover Central, 2021</strong> - The Washburn University commit is not just averaging 5 assists per game but also has a assists to turnovers ratio of 5.  Through 4 games she is also averaging 6 rebounds and 2.5 steals. [player_tooltip player_id="123517" first="Regan" last="Ast"],<strong> 5’7", PG, Ingalls, 2021</strong> - Ast is another player with a large assists to turnovers ratio.  Averaging 5 assists with a ratio of 4, she also is piling up 13.5 points, 4.8 steals, and 3.5 rebounds per game through her first 4 games. [player_tooltip player_id="158609" first="Riley" last="Smith"]<strong>, 5’8", G, Baldwin, 2022</strong> - Smith is averaging 4.8 assists per game with a assists to turnover ratio of 1.04.  She also is collecting 13 points, 4 rebounds, and three 3 steals through 5 games <strong>Gillian Awbrey, 5’9", W, Manhattan, 2021</strong> - Through 4 games Awbrey is averaging 4.8 assists, 3.3 points, and 1 steal per game.  With turnovers not posted her assists to turnovers ratio is unavailable. <strong>Kristen Huston, 5'1", PG, Spearville, 2023</strong> - Huston is averaging 4.8 assists, 2 points, and 1 steal through 4 games. [player_tooltip player_id="158613" first="Megan" last="Griffin"]<strong>, 5’8", PG/SF, Burlingame, 2021</strong> - Through 3 games Griffin is off to a good start with 4.7 assists to go with 12.3 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 2.7 steals.  She also has a strong 2.33 assists to turnovers ratio. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;
