There were some good records. Meeker was 21-3. Cedaredge and Hotchkiss were 19-5. However, those in the hills, who always face interesting travel, had trouble away from them. And it could turn more trying in ’20-21 as there are now 15 teams in the league (see below), a hodgepodge of former and current 3A, 2A and 1A schools.
Teams – Caprock Academy, Cedaredge, DeBeque, Hayden, Hotchkiss, Meeker, North Park, Olathe, Paonia, Plateau Valley, Rangely, Soroco, Vail Christian, Vail Mountain and West Grand.
Which playoff team advanced the furthest?
Cedaredge was the lone team in the group to make an ultimate bracket. The Bruins took out Skyview Academy 32-14 in 3A before falling to University by 41-31 in the second round. No other Western Slope team in the current group advanced past the lower levels’ districts or regionals.

A quick, early look to Season B
Ten of the top 14 scorers from a year ago return, so there’s a sprinkling of power returning. Cedaredge, Meeker and Plateau Valley figure to be among the leaders.
