<span style="text-decoration: underline;"><span style="font-size: 14pt;"><strong>Colgan Gives Paul VI First Test Of The Season</strong></span></span> <img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-246895" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/pgh/uploads/2021/01/Colgan-vs-PVI-300x169.jpeg" alt="" width="300" height="169" /> Both teams donning masks as is the protocol when playing a public school.  Paul VI took an early 20-6 lead after one with [player_tooltip player_id="21932" first="Lee" last="Volker"] leading the way with ten points.  Kennedy Fuller led Colgan after the first with 4 points.  The Sharks were getting good looks at the basket but couldn’t convert while the Panthers saw their foul total mounting up.  Colgan started to connect a little more in the second quarter but missed five free throws which would have helped as the trailed 32-19 at the break.  The Panthers came out red hot on both ends to take a 24 point lead to start the final period while the Sharks controlled the final quarter.  At the end of the day Paul VI lef the building 3-0 finishing with a 58-48 victory. <strong>Key Players:</strong> <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="143229" first="Jaelyn" last="Talley"] - Foward - Paul VI</strong> Talley finished the game tied with a team high 15 points.  She looked strong in the paint on both ends finishing on her opportunities. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="21944" first="Alyssa" last="Andrews"] - Wing - Colgan</strong> Alyssa had a game high 21 points with 16 coming after the break.  She was able to get good looks despite facing a lot of traps and double teams.  She got to the line for 16 free throw attempts converting 11 of them. <strong>Kennedy Fuller - Guard - Colgan</strong> Fuller finished with 9 points, scoring all in the first three quarters.  She was able the navigate through the Panthers pressure that has crippled their previous opponents. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="21932" first="Lee" last="Volker"] - Wing - Paul VI </strong> Lee in her back to back game scored 10 of her 15 points in the first half.  Defensively she was solid with quite a few steals in the game. <strong>Isa[player_tooltip player_id="21939" first="Bella" last="Perkins"] - Guard - Paul VI</strong> Perkins scored in each quarter each quarter finishing with 11 in the game.  She showed her range from the three and an excellent mid range touch.
