Trinity Smith (Wayne Country Day forward, 2024)
Wayne Country Day freshman forward Trinity Smith played her best game of the season in this contest. She finished with 13 points including a couple of blocks and big baskets during the second half. There were a lot of flashes of great things on both ends of the floor and her consistency could help this Chargers team be dangerous in the postseason. She’s a 2024 prospect to watch in Wayne County going forward.
Jordan Whitney (Wayne Country Day forward, 2023)
Another game, another big performance from 2023 Jordan Whitney to help the Chargers get a win over a quality opponent. The sophomore had 14 points with most of those coming in the paint. She defends the rim at a high rate, takes advantage of both glasses, and runs the floor well. Whitney is starting to become a key offensive piece for this WCDS team over the last few weeks.
Kimora Cox Kimora Cox 5'5" | SG Wayne Country Day | 2022 NC (Wayne Country Day guard, 2022)
On a night where standout 2023 guard Ja’Kea Brunson Ja’Kea Brunson 5'9" | PG Wayne Country Day | 2023 NC didn’t have her best offensive output against some unique defensive looks, Kimora Cox Kimora Cox 5'5" | SG Wayne Country Day | 2022 NC stepped up. The junior guard took the challenge of guarding an excellent scorer and held her in check during the crucial moments down the stretch. Cox broke the ’triangle and double-team’ defense by hitting a couple of early jump shots that forced the Eagles into playing zone.
Danauje Brooks (Northwood Temple guard, 2025)
Danauje Brooks has been the go to scorer and facilitator for the Northwood Temple Eagles this season as an EIGHTH grader. This 2025 prospect can fill it up from all three levels and break down defenders off the dribble with ease. She had 18 points to lead all scorers and is currently averaging nearly 16 per game in one of the toughest NCISAA conferences in the state. Remember Brooks’ name because she’s one of the top rising prospects in the 910, a great area for women’s hoops.
