Let’s take a look at some of the top scorers in class 5A!!
Breanna Jefferson Breanna Jefferson 5'4" | CG Vista PEAK | 2022 State CO (2022, 5’6″, Vista PEAK Prep)
Jefferson is starting off the season fearless with her junior year debut scoring 32 points, and an efficient game shooting 13-of-16 (81 percent) from the floor. Though coming off a tough game on Wednesday scoring only 8 points against a talented Westminster. Jefferson is still one of the top scorers in class 5A. She is averaging a total of 22.0 points per game on 37-of-83 (45 percent). To add to her points per game, she is averaging 4.0 assist, 3.3 rebounds, and 5.0 steals per game to help her team go 3-1 this year.
Alexei Trujillo Alexei Trujillo 5'3" | CG Westminster | 2023 State CO (2023, 5’4″, Westminster)
Trujillo is having a great sophomore year, she is already boost her numbers tremendously since being a freshman. She is now leading Colorado in scoring in class 5A. She is averaging 22.7 points per game on 20-of-53 (38 percent) from the floor. Last season as a freshman she averaged only 5.3 points per game. Trujillo leads her team in scoring while helping them improve to a 3-0 season. She is also averaging 3.0 rebounds, 2.0 steals per game.
Lauren Betts Lauren Betts 6'7" | C Grandview | 2022 State #1 Nation CO (2022, 6’7″, Grandview)
Betts committed to Stanford is one of the most efficient players in Colorado, and tough to stop with her length and size. She is averaging 21.3 points per game on 37-of-46 (80 percent) from the floor. On a team that is highly ranked in state, and averaging 75.3 points as a team. Betts has proven that she is one of the top players in the country among her class. To go along with her points, she is also averaging 2.0 assist, and 12.5 rebounds per game.
Sam Crispe Sam Crispe 6'1" | PF Arapahoe | 2022 State CO (2022, 6’2″, Arapahoe)
Crispe has been adding value to her game year after year. In her junior debut she scored 20 points against Cherry Creek on 8-of-18 from the field.
She leads her team in scoring helping them improve to a 5-1 season. In her freshman year she was only averaging 4.2 points per game. Crispe is now averaging 20.2 points per game on 44-of-87 (51 percent) from the field. She is also averaging 8.6 rebounds, and 1.2 blocks per game.
Natalie Guanella Natalie Guanella 5'7" | PG Monarch | 2023 State CO (2023, 5’6″, Monarch)
Guanella as she waited patiently for her time to light it up on the floor in her sophomore year. She is averaging 19.2 points per game this season on 39-of-86 (45 percent) from the floor. Guanella shows that she can shoot the ball extending out behind the arc. She is 5-of-16 (31 percent) from behind the arc as Monarch off to a 5-1 start this year. She scored 21 points in her first game this year and shot 71 percent. She has tremendous upside as she leads her team as a sophomore.
