Ja’Kea Brunson Ja’Kea Brunson 5'9" | PG Wayne Country Day | 2023 NC (Wayne Country Day guard, 2023)
Once again, Ja’Kea Brunson Ja’Kea Brunson 5'9" | PG Wayne Country Day | 2023 NC continued her incredible season with another big night in their most important game of the season. Brunson led the way with 26 points, dished out eight assists and added several steals and blocks. She was the two-way force that couldn’t be stopped in this contest and her scoring barrage continues.
Jordan Whitney (Wayne Country Day forward, 2023)
Jordan Whitney has been a revelation for this Wayne Country Day team over the last month or so. She’s done a great job developing into a scoring threat in the paint for this Chargers team and finished with 20 points against the Eagles. From blocking shots to rebounding, Whitney does the little things to help the Chargers win important games and she came up big again.
Ella Fox (Wayne Christian guard, 2024)
Wayne Christian has a promising freshman in guard Ella Fox and she’s been a big addition to the Eagles. Fox currently leads the team in scoring at just under 15 points per game and she scores in many ways from three point shooting to attacking the basket. She kept Wayne Christian in it throughout the contest hitting big shots to keep them within one possession.
Brianna Verme (Wayne Christian forward, 2022)
Brianna Verme is one of the more consistent performers in Wayne County averaging nearly a double double once again this season. Verme had a nice night against the Chargers putting up 11 points while playing really good defense against the WCDS frontcourt. She continues to be a standout on this Wayne Christian team and they’ll need more of her down the stretch if they want to make a good playoff run.
