Olivia Burke: The 5’9 freshman guard from Porter Ridge high school is a pure scorer. Her first 4 games of her high school career she put up big numbers, including a 25 piece. She is now averaging almost 14 points per game. Her shooting from beyond the arch as a freshman is okay, right around 25%, but she has the next 3 full years to get that more consistent. She is great on the boards, wants to dish to her teammates, and has a good IQ for the game already. With already 1 double-double under her belt (19 points and 12 boards), I would expect nothing but a few more this year and averaging one later in her career. She is a freshman to keep on watching over the next 4 years. She plays AAU for the Lady Attack Elite organization.
Sheree Gidney Sheree Gidney 5'10" | PF Hickory Ridge | 2024 State NC : The 5’10 freshman power forward from Hickory Ridge high school is finding her niche on this team. She has come on strong as of late, really making big plays and junior and senior like moves. She has developed a nice game from free-throw line extended and down. She can shoot the mid-range jumper, put it on the floor and get to the rim, and is using a ball fake rather nicely. Averaging right under 10 points, and shooting nearly 50% from the floor, she is helping this team in big ways. She is definitely a player to keep on your radar for again another 3 full seasons.
Reese Wilson Reese Wilson 5'10" | SF Myers Park | 2024 State NC : The 5’10 freshman small forward from Myers Park high school is going to be a top performer in this conference. She has good, tight handles for her size, gets space when she is shooting the 3 ball, and an overall pretty high IQ. She is hardworking and keeps adding more to her repertoire. She shoots the ball well, gets into the paint, and in the paint does a good job finishing or dishing it out to open teammates. With her size and skills she is going to be something special to keep up with for 3 more seasons. She plays AAU for the FBC United organization.
Jerin Truesdale Jerin Truesdale 5'9" | SF Myers Park | 2024 State NC : The 5’9 freshman power forward from Myers Park high school is another tough freshman player. She is not afraid to play hard, get her hands dirty with the dirty work, and it pays off for her. She rebounds, she cuts hard, drives hard, most of her movements are just hard nosed movements. She will dive for a loose ball, she will bang inside against bigger players, you can tell she is a kid who plays with no fear, and that is a kid worth watching. She plays AAU for the Lady Attack Elite organization.
