all of these games take place on March 2nd
Kalyn Baker Kalyn Baker 5'5" | PG Farmville Central | 2023 NC : The 5’5 point guard from Farmville Central high school has helped get her team to the 2A Final Four round of the state championships. She is a tough player with a solid build to her frame already. She is not afraid of getting into the paint and creating contact, finishing through it, finding her teammates, and creating solid plays for her team. She does a good job on the defensive end for her team as well. A true team leader, she is something special. Watch to see who advances to the state championship game between Farmville and McMichael.
Ally Hollifield Ally Hollifield 5'7" | CG Shelby | 2023 State NC : The 5’7 combo guard from Shelby high school has also helped get her team to the 2A Final Four round of the state championships. Ally knows how to fill up the bucket! She averaged over 20 points all regular season, and shot the 3 ball at nearly 38%. She is a pure shooter who finds ways to get open and get buckets. As a freshman she made the all district team, and I’d expect nothing less (and more) come the end of this season. If you need a shooter and leader this is your girl. Watch to see who advances to the state championship game between Shelby and West Stokes. She plays AAU for the Carolina Flames organization.
Maraja Pass Maraja Pass 5'6" | PG Winston-Salem Christian National | 2023 State NC : The 5’4 point guard from Shelby high school has really put her team on her back this entire season. A big part of why they are 17-0 is because of her tremendous play. She has led her team in scoring all season (right around 21 points), and has kept it up during the playoff run they are on. Besides being able to score it, she is the floor general. She dishes out nearly 7 assists per game, and runs this team as smoothly as one can. She already has picked up 2 offers in her young career, and again I’d expect nothing less after this playoff performance. Watch to see who advances to the state championship game between Shelby and West Stokes.
Amira Ofunniyin Amira Ofunniyin 6'0" | SF Panther Creek | 2023 State NC : The 5’11 lefty small forward from Garner Magnet school has helped get her team to the 4A Final Four round of the state championships. This long and athletic player does a good job free-throw line and down. She can shoot that elbow jumper, short corner jumper, and in the paint jumper fairly consistently. She can put the ball on the floor and get to the rim and finish, even with contact. She rebounds well, does a nice job on the offensive boards. She has great size and length, and works that high post area and down super well. Watch to see who advances to the state championship game between Garner Magnet and Ashley. She plays AAU for the Carolina Flames organization.
Faith Robertson Faith Robertson 5'4" | CG McMichael | 2023 State NC : The 5’3 combo guard from McMichael high school has helped get her team to the 2A state Final Four round of the state championships. She is another floor leader in this group to keep an eye on. She averaged nearly 7 assists all throughout the regular season. She gets into the paint quickly and finds her teammates. She has her eyes up at all times, sees the floor well, and makes the right plays. She shoots the 3 ball decently, at 30%, but gets into the paint and finishes as well. A scrappy defender as well, she is creating good for her team on both ends. Watch to see who advances to the state championship game between McMichael and Farmville Central. She plays AAU for the Greensboro Lady Gaters organization.
