I had the opportunity to watch a large number of 17U-14U teams Saturday, April, 10, from several states compete at the MAYB Hall of Fame National Showcase tournament. Here are a few notes on 2022 post players that stood out.

She transitions well and competes well inside. Boughfman showed solid ability to hit the mid-range jumper.
[player_tooltip player_id="93975" first="Brittany" last="Harshaw"], 6’1", PF, Andover Central, Wheat State Elite Paul - Harshaw showed off her athleticism and her ability to create around the basket. Her perimeter ability includes canning step back three point shots.
[player_tooltip player_id="94032" first="Bree" last="Horyna"], 5’9", PF, Liberal, SSA Gameball 17U - Horyna consistently showed strength and physicality on both ends of the floor. She also showed terrific quickness off the bounce and an ability to score with either hand off her face-up and back-to-basket games.

A sweet moment was using a reverse drop step on the left block to surprise and score easily on an opponent off an entry pass.

Her length and quickness enabled her to deny entry passes to the interior and alter shots. Her reach and ability to elevate enabled her to repeatedly grab rebounds over defenders.
