Mary Spry Mary Spry 6'0" | PF Jesse Carson | 2022 State NC (Carson, F, 2022) does well with posting up in the paint. She seals off her opponents making her moves to score. She is aggressive when grabbing rebounds, and she knows how to put them back up for second chance points. She even has some nice ball moves that she shows off when handling the ball to get by her opponents.
Mary Schleusner (Charlotte Latin, F, 2022) uses her height to cause problems for her opponents grabbing rebounds, and she can even push the ball all the way up the court herself fighting through contact to get to the basket. She knows how move to the paint for a pass, and she has a quick release on her jump shot making it difficult for defenders to recover when she catches the ball.
Maddie Shannon (Charlotte Latin, F, 2022) has a nice jump shot that she can show off all over the court. She makes her moves inside the paint, too, scoring on all three levels. She knows how to position herself well to grab rebounds, and she uses them for some second chance opportunities.
Sheree Gidney Sheree Gidney 5'10" | PF Hickory Ridge | 2024 State NC (Hickory Ridge, F, 2024, pictured above) is a beast in the paint sealing off her opponents for rebounds and entry passes. She battles through contact to score her points. She has some nice ball moves that she uses to get by her opponents from the free throw line like spin moves and jab steps. She grabs rebounds and immediately pushes it up the court.
