Tuesday Prep Girls Hoops Indiana released it’s initial Class of 2025 Watchlist. It ended up including 55 prospects who have stood out over the past year or so, and it will expand in September as more players come to light. At this point in time, I wanted to highlight a few of the 2-guard prospects from that list and give you a little more detail into them and their games. To be clear, they are arranged below alphabetically by last name (not ranked), and there might be someone better out there who isn’t mentioned below. But these are some of the young ladies I have seen and/or heard about the most, and they are the ones I felt most comfortable writing about at this point in time.

Myla has about as much upside and potential as any guard in 2025, because she is extremely long, fluidly athletic, and she looks like she is still growing. She is a nice all-around athlete, somewhat bouncy, and very smooth. She can change directions with ease, and she has a knack for slithering by defenders and finishing at the basket in a variety of ways. She has ball skill and can play point when necessary, but she’s such a good scorer right now. She can also be a high-level defender when she wants.

I first saw Alex in a Fall league in 2019, and she was already a really nice player amongst her peers. She has good length, athleticism in all directions, plus she plays with an outstanding motor. At that time she was more of a slashing athlete who liked to attack the basket North/South, but now she’s starting to be more dynamic off the dribble, and she’s shooting it more consistently in the mid-range game and from around the perimeter. She just has a nice, balanced skillset.

When Jersey gets hot, she is someone I don’t know that I’d want to play H-O-R-S-E against. She is a tough-nosed, feisty, strong-for-her-size guard who always competes. She is a good athlete in most directions, and like I hinted at earlier, she is a good perimeter shooter with range beyond the arc. Jersey has solid ball skills, and I think she’ll ultimately be a point guard, but with

Allison Scheu

Indiana seems to go through cycles when it comes to types of prospects, and right now in each class we have a couple of these really nice, strong, athletic, aggressive combo guards who do a little of everything. Allison is a strong and physical scorer who can attack the basket and finish through contact. At the same time, she has ball skill and can break down a defender from the perimeter. She can and will be a distributor, but she’s just so good scoring it right now against her peers.
Gabby Spink

Continuing that thought, Gabby is another nice, wiry-strong, and athletic guard who does a little of everything. She has played a couple of 17U tournaments with her program’s older team and looked solid at that level as well. She too has good ball skill and could play more of a traditional point guard role if necessary, but she’s such an athletic scorer and finisher, that I’d want to set her up each possession. She has a nice-looking jump-shot outside, plus she could be a really effective on-ball defender in time.

As if Noblesville needed another high-level guard, Meredith has some similarities in her game to Scheu and Spink (both above), but she has a longer, leaner, and more fluidly athletic frame. I also think Meredith has as much balance between being a point guard and a 2-guard, that she’s really hard to define by position. At the end of the day, she’s just a tremendous basketball player, and she is one of the better prospects in Indiana’s 2025 class. The trio of Meredith,

Jessa is a highly skilled, high IQ basketball player who does a little of everything. Where she stands out the most is as a shooter. She can bury shot after shot from the perimeter, often with nice range. She has a solid handle, a good all-around feel for the game, and she is a willing passer who can find open teammates. I do think she’ll need to get a little better on the ball defensively, especially against water-bug point guards, but she could contribute immediately to a strong Kingsmen lineup.
