2023 Rankings: New Forwards

<p class="p1">Check out these new additions to the 2023 rankings that were updated last week.</p> <p class="p1"><b>[player_tooltip player_id="323882" first="Valeria" last="Batista"] | Victory Christian</b></p> <p class="p1">Batista (pictured above) has stepped up in big ways for her Charlotte Dream Elite team this summer showing her dominance in the paint.<span class="Apple-converted-space">  </span>She can block shots and is aggressive when going after rebounds.<span class="Apple-converted-space">  </span>She runs the floor well making sure opponents do not have easy points on fast breaks.<span class="Apple-converted-space">  </span>She does a great job repositioning on offense making sure she is getting into the best position to show off her post moves and score.</p> <p class="p1"><b>[player_tooltip player_id="323896" first="Jada" last="Creech"] | Julius Chambers</b></p> <p class="p1">Creech has great size to dominate the paint and the agility with the ball to drive it all the way to the hoop herself.<span class="Apple-converted-space">  </span>She doesn’t shy away from guarding speedy ball handlers, and she knows how to body someone in the paint to prevent them from scoring.<span class="Apple-converted-space">  </span>Her strength on offense is certainly battling through contact scoring old fashioned three point plays for her team.</p> <p class="p1"><b>[player_tooltip player_id="323890" first="Sarah" last="Evans"] | Ardrey Kell</b></p> <p class="p1">Evans is that post player who is persistent when it comes to going after rebounds.<span class="Apple-converted-space">  </span>Her length comes in handy to go up and grab the ball as well as deflect passes from her opponents.<span class="Apple-converted-space">  </span>She’s expanded her game beyond the paint showing off midrange jumpers as well as her ability to shoot from deep.<span class="Apple-converted-space">  </span>She positions herself well knowing whether or not to put her back to the basket or to make a cut to the block for some points.</p> <p class="p1"><b>[player_tooltip player_id="323892" first="Leigh" last="Marks"] | Lake Norman</b></p> <p class="p1">Marks has shown off her ability to play effective defense consistently grabbing steals, and she can certainly take them the other direction herself.<span class="Apple-converted-space">  </span>She is a good shot blocker, too.<span class="Apple-converted-space">  </span>She’s agile with the ball getting by her opponents, and she has a nice shot from downtown.</p> <p class="p1"><b>[player_tooltip player_id="323888" first="Corrie" last="McLaughlin"] | Millbrook</b></p> <p class="p1">McLaughlin’s wingspan makes it difficult for opponents to get by her.<span class="Apple-converted-space">  </span>She uses her length to block the path of her opponents and knock away passes.<span class="Apple-converted-space">  </span>She constantly moves on defense making sure her opponent doesn’t have any easy entry passes as they try to score.<span class="Apple-converted-space">  </span>She uses this on offense, too, to throw off her opponent and score her own points in the paint.</p>
