Maya Anderson Maya Anderson 5'9" | PG Detroit Cass Tech | 2024 State MI (2024, Detroit Cass Tech)
Anderson just keeps getting physically stronger, and because of that, is really tough to slow down when she builds up steam. She showed off nice range on her jumper, hitting a very deep triple with a hand in her face. Anderson also showed the ability to distribute with a showtime worth drive and dish.
Tadassa Brown Tadassa Brown 6'4" | C Brooklyn Columbia Central | 2022 State MI (2022, Brooklyn Columbia Central)
At Flight Hankamp, Brown showed why her improvement over the last calendar year has been the talk of the town. She always has been, and was yesterday, and elite post defender and shot blocker. At this event though, she showed some other aspects of her game including improved perimeter play. Brown put the ball on the floor and attacked the rim on many occasions yesterday.
Liv Linden Liv Linden 5'7" | SG Hartland | 2023 State MI (2023, Hartland)
There must be something in the water in Hartland, because I think I just saw another perimeter player that’s relentless on defense, a stellar shooter, and high quality floor leader. She scored and distributed at a high level at Flight Hankamp. Linden showed the ability to play off the pick and roll, hitting rolling screeners with precision passes multiple times.
Aubree Meyer (2024, Hartland)
Meyer showed up to play at Flight Hankamp yesterday. She was very active on the offensive glass, which created many opportunities for a nearly unstoppable scoop shot from under the rim. Meyer was also very effective with a bulldog type straight line drive that she could take through traffic and finish in a crowd by going up strong.
Jordan Popyk Jordan Popyk 6'1" | SF Novi | 2024 State MI (2024, Novi)
Popyk was very impressive at Flight Hankamp. She’s technically a guard, but I really don’t even like labeling her with a position. I feel like Popyk could successfully defend 4-5 different positions. She’s versatile on the other end to, showing a comfortableness and attacking ability from a variety of spots on the floor.
Bri Thomas Bri Thomas 5'9" | CG Trenton | 2024 State MI (2024, Trenton)
Thomas sent a big message at Flight Hankamp. She’s constantly moving on both ends of the floor, making her a menace on D and a nearly impossible cover on the other end. Thomas has a comfortable and pure looking stroke from behind the arc and should be considered a constant threat to bury a triple.
