Prep Girls Hoops takes a look at some ladies from the 2025 that played this past weekend at Top 250 Expo in Myrtle Beach. These will be names to follow in the years to come from this talented class.
Zanariah Yarborough Zanariah Yarborough 6'0" | PF Legacy Early College | 2025 State SC – Fairfield Central HS (Winnsboro) (pictured on front)
Yarborough sure does play the game aggressively on both sides of the floor. Zanariah really worked to post up with her solid footwork down low. Yarborough runs the floor very well and really did a good job of rebounding the ball on both ends of the floor. Yarborough will draw contact on both ends and isn’t afraid at all to mix it up.
Jasmyn Jenkins Jasmyn Jenkins 5'6" | CG Carvers Bay | 2025 State SC – Myrtle Beach HS
Jenkins a left-handed guard is the future for Lady Seahawks basketball down on the Grand Strand. Jenkins has a nice stroke and good shot mechanics when receiving the ball. Jenkins can play both spots in the backcourt when needed.
Destinee Vereen Destinee Vereen 5'7" | PF North Myrtle Beach | 2025 SC – North Myrtle Beach HS
Vereen plays the game so aggressively and hard at times almost to a fault. Destinee never lacks effort down low in the paint. Vereen was vital last season in the Lady Chiefs run to the Class 4A Lower State Championship. Destinee earns her fouls and buckets and really enjoys playing the game on contact.
Faith Farmer Faith Farmer 5'7" | SG North Myrtle Beach | 2025 State SC – North Myrtle Beach HS
Farmer didn’t come out shooting as much today as I’ve seen her do in the past. Farmer was playing more on the ball and looking to distribute at times. Faith can knockdown shots on the perimeter when open. Farmer and Vereen will be a great 1-2 punch for the Lady Chiefs in Region 6-4A this season and the years to come.
Makayla Legette Makayla Legette 5'5" | SG Trinity Collegiate | 2025 State SC – Latta HS
Legette played a very limited high school season last year less than 5 games and Grassroots season. Makayla was able to drop some floaters in the lane when she wasn’t scoring out on the perimeter. Legette looks to have a very bright future down the road for the Lady Vikings over in the Pee Dee.
Sabreya Monsanto Sabreya Monsanto 5'11" | SF Heathwood Hall | 2025 State SC – Cardinal Newman (pictured on front)
Monsanto was on top of her game today here at the PGH Top 250 Expo. Sabreya finished at a high clip around the basket today on put-backs and rebounds. Monsanto runs the floor very well and was able to finish the lane in transition. Sabreya handled the rock at times today up the floor. Monsanto brings good versatility to the floor.
Zie’l Ratchford Zie’l Ratchford 5'7" | CG Spring Valley | 2025 State SC – Spring Valley HS
Ratchford likes to play out on the perimeter and never seems to backdown from a challenge on the floor. Zie’l gets after it on both ends of the floor equally effective. Zie’l will be a great addition to the Vikings roster this coming season.
