This expo will be filled with talent from all over the state. Each girl will be ready to put a name to their game and show off their hard work. Below are a handful of sophomores and a freshman to give an extra minute to during the expo:
Brooke Carlson Brooke Carlson 5'8" | PG Batavia | 2024 State IL | ’24 Batavia
Without saying a word… you can tell Brooke is a leader by her demeanor, her walk, and just her overall style. The sophomore guard is already a top PG in the state, but her energy and effort are a whole different discussion. Buzzer to buzzer her level is at 100. She can get hot in a second, but will still keep her team engaged… no matter how many shots she’s knocked down in a row. The first step is Flash fast and that crossover is simple but highly effective. The confidence she puts out will keep her in everyone’s top guard conversations.
Lexi Diorio Lexi Diorio 5'8" | SG St. Charles East | 2024 State IL | ’24 Saint Charles East
DiOrio is built to play to any position on the court. Her overall awareness of the game is what stands out most. Whether it’s defense or offense, she will consistently make the right play. The endurance she has is noncomparable to a lot of players. Lexi never seems gassed, which allows her to create shots or assists non-stop. From the arc to the paint she’s an overall threat.
Niallie Evans | ’24 West Aurora
A high-scoring guard who can’t be left open.. and who you don’t want defending you. Niallie is a hardworking guard who just doesn’t believe in giving anything less than 100% when her number is called. This season she’ll be in a different jersey than last, as she packed her bags to go to West Aurora. The guard can do it all. When she locks in, she can get a steal and a bucket on multiple consecutive runs. She’s definitely going to make some noise.
Emory Klatt | ’24 Stevenson
Averaging a double double is a baseline of what Emory can do. A 20 and 15 type player. Her agility, athleticism, and disciplined are always on show. Her height at this stage in her career has her positioned as a forward or big… but her game can translate to being a guard when she reaches the next level. She finishes with ease, guards with a purpose, and rebounds like a young Tina Charles. In time she will be at the top of her opponent’s scouting report.
Reagan Sipla Reagan Sipla 6'1" | SG St. Charles North | 2024 State IL | ’24 Saint Charles North
Versatile might be an understatement. Sipla is just simply a basketball threat on both sides of the ball. Her length is obvious.. but it’s how she uses it, that makes her different than most lengthy hoopers. She will cause havoc on both sides of the ball throughout the entire game. Her energy doesn’t have an off button, on the bench or the floor. The upside of Raegan’s game is tremendous at 6’0. If she keeps growing… Illinois lookout
Nikki Kerstein | ’25 Deerfield
She can run the show and be a GREAT floor general if needed… but why keep a Ferrari in a garage? Nikki can score 25 in 6-8 minutes when the strings are cut. Don’t switch and always call for help. The creativity is crazy, the confidence never lowers and her IQ of the game at her age is mind-blowing. Kerstein is a problem and she’s only just getting started.
