This year, there will be talent for coaches at all levels to see. Let’s Get Ready V has some players that can make some huge statements at the event.
Here are 5 of those prospects:
Makenna Clement Makenna Clement 6'1" | PF Lake Fenton | 2023 State MI (Lake Fenton)
Clement should be considered an elite post prospect in Michigan regardless of class. She has strong hands and good footwork in the paint. Clement moves well side to side which really aids in her help defense. She should be considered a must see player at Let’s Get Ready V.
Jada Collins Jada Collins 6'1" | SF Kalamazoo Central | 2024 State MI (Kalamazoo Central)
There’s a lot to like about Collins as a player and prospect. She has great positional height and length. Collins really seems to be growing in her understanding of how to use her length on both ends of the floor. She deserves to have fans and coaches really watch her game at the event on Saturday.
Mary Copple Mary Copple 5'7" | PG Brighton | 2023 State MI (Brighton)
I always believed the Copple was one of the better floor generals around, and I still do. But at the Flight Hankamp Open Run, it was her jumper that stood out above all else. Copple was lights out from behind the arc while still maintaining her ability to direct the offense and find open teammates in scoring positions. If she can dominate offensively like she did at the run, a lot of eyes will be on her and her game.
Liv Linden Liv Linden 5'7" | SG Hartland | 2023 State MI (Hartland)
I’ve written a lot about Linden lately and I don’t see any reason to stop. She’s a grinder on both ends and is comfortable as both a primary and secondary ball handler. At the Flight Hankamp Open Run, Linden showed the ability to create her own shot off the dribble. In my opinion, she’s primed for a really big high school season.
Zar’ria Mitchell Zar’ria Mitchell 5'7" | PG Heritage | 2023 State MI (Heritage)
Mitchell was at the Top 250 and she was turning heads. Her handled were absolutely ridiculous and she seemed to have her way with defenders for a majority of the day. Mitchell controlled the pace of the game throughout the event. She flaunted a step back jumper that has to be one of the best in the state. She’s bound to turn heads with that move at Let’s Get Ready V.
