<span style="font-size: 14pt;"><strong>GC Super Scrimmage V - Top Wings Part 2</strong></span>
More wings that stood out from the Super Scrimmage Showcase.
[player_tooltip player_id="27883" first="Gianni" last="Boone"] - 6’0" - St. John’s College - 2022
<img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-355440" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/pgh/uploads/2021/11/DSC_0404-300x199.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="199" />
Gianni is very active without the ball and always in attack mode when she gets it. She fearlessly forces the action regardless of the defense that she is facing.
Mitchell Edmond - 5’10" - St. John’s College - 2023
Mitchell is a rangy defender that can cover a lot of ground in the zone. She's 5'10" but plays 6'3" around the basket because she so athletic and elevates and finishes so well.
Jaydn Brown - 6'2" - New Hope Academy - 2022
<img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-354892" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/pgh/uploads/2021/11/DSC_0372-scaled-crop-2049x1345-1637537654-300x197.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="197" />
[player_tooltip player_id="296681" first="Maria" last="Alvarado"] - 6’0’ - Georgetown Visitation - 2023
Maria's size is perfect for the wing position. She spent a lot of time initially at the post but later started to show her ability to push the ball up the court in transition and her shooting touch away from the basket.
[player_tooltip player_id="238688" first="Tatum" last="Greene"] - 6’1" - McDonogh - 2024
<img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-354856" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/pgh/uploads/2021/11/DSC_0472-300x199.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="199" />
[player_tooltip player_id="319239" first="Yanniah" last="Boyd"] - 5’11 - Riverdale Baptist- 2023
Initially I was concerned that Yanniah's drives were a little too wide to get all the way to the basket. After watching more those concerns were gone as she consistently got to the basket and finished. She has good vision, keeping her head up when attacking and was one of the better shot blockers of the day defensively.
[player_tooltip player_id="304355" first="Ava" last="McKennie"] - 6’1" - McDonogh - 2024
<a href="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/pgh/uploads/2021/11/DSC_0559-scaled-crop-2049x1345-1637630943.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-355446" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/pgh/uploads/2021/11/DSC_0559-scaled-crop-2049x1345-1637630943-300x197.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="197" /></a>
Ava runs and runs the court relentlessly pressuring whoever is defending her to keep running as well. Her high energy, length and athleticism has her in line as one of the premier wings tine the 2024 class.
[player_tooltip player_id="142828" first="Qadence" last="Samuels"] - 6’1" - Bishop Mcnamara - 2024
<img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-355437" style="font-size: 1rem;" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/pgh/uploads/2021/11/DSC_0541-300x199.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="199" />
Qadence is starting to become a threat with the corner three. It's a weapon that's gaining respect making defenses vulnerable to her pump fake and drive. She finishes well once at the rim and gets to the line consistently.
Makael<span style="font-size: 1rem;">a Quimby - 5’9" - McDonogh - 2023</span>
Makaela was one of the best shooters of the day. She knocked down shots from all over and had a very good three point shot in transition. She took good shots and shot at a high percentage making about everything she put up. Shooting is becoming a lost art that Makaela has found.
