Prep Girls Hoops Iowa Class 5A Preseason All-State Teams

As we near the start of the regular season, Prep Girls Hoops Iowa will now be releasing Preseason All-State teams. These selections are made based on their expected impact this season and will not include any incoming freshmen. We will release statewide All-State teams encompassing all classes as well this coming Friday afternoon. Here are the First, Second, and Third Team Prep Girls Hoops Iowa All-State selections as well as the Class 5A Preseason Player of the Year pick. <hr /> <p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: 18pt;"><strong>Preseason Player of the Year: [player_tooltip player_id="13957" first="Hannah" last="Stuelke"] (Cedar Rapids Washington HS)</strong></span></p> Any of the five players on the First Team can be heavily considered for the 5A Preseason Player of the Year, but I am going with the Iowa commit [player_tooltip player_id="13957" first="Hannah" last="Stuelke"]. Stuelke scored 22.4 points per game last year and grabbed 12.2 rebounds per game. She only turned the ball over 1.3 times a game and is super efficient on the floor. [player_tooltip player_id="128995" first="Jada" last="Gyamfi"], a fellow Iowa commit, scored 13.7 points a game and grabbed 7.6 rebounds per game last year. [player_tooltip player_id="127622" first="Halli" last="Poock"] scored 21.0 points a game and dished off 5.7 assists per game. Poock also stole the ball 4.3 times per game. [player_tooltip player_id="127635" first="Sahara" last="Williams"], a teammate of Poock’s, scored 19.7 points a game, grabbed 7.8 rebounds a game, and dished off 4.5 assists per game. Jackson also had more than 2.5 assists and steals per game last year. <strong>Halle Vice</strong> scored 12.8 points a game last season and also had 2.8 steals per game last season. [player_tooltip player_id="127625" first="Kaliyah" last="Sain"] scored 11.3 points a game and had 5.4 rebounds per contest last season coming off an injury. <strong>Aleaha Pommer</strong> is an under-the-radar player who scored 12.1 points a game and added in over two steals a contest last year.
