Christina Delisa (Northern Guilford, G, 2023) was such a problem for her opponents while she was playing defense constantly knocking the ball away from them and being a nuisance on their press. She does well finding her open teammates and facilitating the plays for her team, and she can certainly score herself from behind the arc. She finished with 7 points, 2 rebounds, 4 assists, and many deflections.
Jadyn Newsome Jadyn Newsome 5'10" | SF Northern Guilford | 2023 NC (Northern Guilford, SF, 2023) moves well with the ball in the post finding ways to make her moves and score. She doesn’t stop moving without the ball flashing from block to block or making cuts to the top of the post. She runs the floor well making cuts and getting two points on fast break opportunities. She finished with 12 points.
Avery Burnham (Northern Guilford, G, 2023) was scoring on all levels and converting from the free throw line. She was ready to shoot when she got the pass behind the arc, and she wasn’t shy about diving on the floor for some loose balls. She was effective on the press slowing down her opponents from getting anything going in transition. She finished with 13 points.
Anaya Cureton (Andrews, G, 2022) had a great second half against Northern coming alive with her drives to the basket and putting the ball through the hoop. She was a tough opponent inside blocking shots and deflecting passes slowing down her opponents. She finished with 9 points, 4 rebounds, 3 steals, and 2 blocks.
Laila Anderson (Burlington School, G, 2022) has a nice step back three pointer that she had on display. She didn’t hesitate to drive hard to the basket to grab some points or convert from the free throw line. She does well following shots to grab a rebound, and she makes nice passes into her teammates. She finished with 13 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 assists.
Millayna Redd (pictured above, QEA, G, 2022) was running and gunning up the court constantly catching passes in transition for her own points. She can grab steals to push up the court herself, and she does well crashing the boards for rebounds. She doesn’t hesitate when it comes to diving on the court for a loose ball. She finished with 9 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 steals.
Briana Hughes (Southern Durham, G, 2024) was a tough defender grabbing steals and pushing them up the court. She was constantly knocking the ball away to take over the possession for her team. She knew how to drive hard to the basket to get her own points or set her teammate up for their shot. She finished with 10 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists, and 4 steals.
Rymiah Sanders (Southern Durham, G, 2023) was instrumental in keeping her team in the game against High Point Christian. She was all over the court grabbing rebounds and steals, and she knew exactly how to use ball fakes to get to the hoop finishing strong at the rim. She finished with 9 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 steals.
Ashley Limbacher (High Point Christian, G, 2023) was instrumental in knocking down shots from deep. She was clutch late in a close game against Southern Durham knocking down free throws to regain the lead for her team. She waited patiently to show off her drive to the lane or set herself up for her shot. She finished with 8 points, 2 rebounds, and 2 steals.
