Prep Girls Hoops has been at it all year long with travels though out the Palmetto State. It’s time to give you Prep Girls Hoops version of team rankings. The Playoffs will be approaching in just over a week or so here in South Carolina. Let’s take a look at Class 1A (Smallest Classification) right here.
<strong>1- Military Magnet (20-4)</strong>

The Lady Eagles come out on top in the 1st place spot in the first edition. The defending State Champions have played in the past 2 state championship games. The Eagles have lost to all bigger schools this year in Timberland HS, First Baptist, Bishop England and Brunswick HS (GA). <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="171795" first="Kaelin" last="Davis"]</strong>, <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="124112" first="Rykia" last="Jakes"]</strong>, <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="172055" first="Chazmin" last="Bradley"]</strong> and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="252502" first="Sabri" last="Mitchell"]</strong> are just some pieces to the puzzle here for the Lady Eagles.
<strong>2- East Clarendon HS (Turbeville) (17-3) </strong>

The Lady Wolverines have lost to Keenan HS, Southside HS (Greenville) and Westwood HS this season. All bigger schools and all in back in 2021. Future Lady Gamecock <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="124090" first="Talaysia" last="Cooper"]</strong> recently went over 3,000 points while receiving help from fellow senior <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="253660" first="Liberty" last="Whack"]</strong>. East Clarendon HS bowed out as a #1 seed last season to Military Magnet in the opening round. That was the last lost to a Class 1A school for East Clarendon HS dating back.
<strong>3- Lake View HS (18-1) </strong>

The Lady Wild Gators have one defeat this season and that was to Purnell Swett HS (NC) who is currently undefeated at (18-0) this year. Lake View HS has defeated Class 4A schools Hartsville HS and West Florence this season. The Lady Wild Gators lost in the 2nd round last season to Military Magnet. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="171763" first="Ja’Niyah" last="Waters"]</strong> currently has 1,184 career points.<strong> [player_tooltip player_id="171808" first="Jaleya" last="Ford"]</strong> has had a solid season averaging 14.4 ppg, 4.5 rebounds and 3.5 steals.
<strong>4- Denmark-Olar HS (17-3) </strong>

The Lady Vikings has rolled region play and to 16 straight wins this season. Denmark-Olar has losses to all bigger schools Trinity Collegiate, South Pointe HS and Gray Collegiate. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="175346" first="Dy’Neka" last="Roberts"]</strong> is averaging 15.7 ppg, 12.9 rebounds and 6.7 steals this season. Freshman guard <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="175345" first="Aveion" last="Walker"]</strong> chimes in at 10.2 ppg and 8.2 rebounds a night.
<strong>5- Whale Branch HS (16-7) </strong>

The Lady Warriors had a rematch with Military Magnet yesterday and fell to the Lady Eagles. Senior <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="171758" first="Kynew" last="Barnwell"]</strong> packs a small punch for such a little guard. Kynew is currently averaging 18.8 ppg this season and has 1,244 career points to date. Whale Branch HS had won 9 games in row before losing last night.
<strong>6- High Point Academy (Spartanburg) (9-10) </strong>

Don’t let the record fool you with the Lady Grizzlies. All of HPA losses this season have come to school bigger than them. Several Class 5A losses and one region loss to Calhoun Falls Charter. High Point Academy lost in the Upper State Championship Game last season to region rival South Christian. The Lady Grizzlies won the Class 1A State Championship back in 2020 over Military Magnet. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="171761" first="Adiyah" last="Owens"]</strong> 14.1 ppg, <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="171794" first="KaDerrah" last="Beason"]</strong> 13.5 ppg,<strong> [player_tooltip player_id="171793" first="Vivian" last="Bracebridge"]</strong> 12.4 ppg and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="174559" first="Olivia" last="Martin"]</strong> 11.4 ppg and 11.4 rebounds carry the workload for HPA.
<strong>7- Calhoun Falls Charter (12-1) </strong>
Young and fearless will be the mindset for this squad from the Upstate. The Flashes have one loss to region for High Point Academy. Calhoun Falls Charter plays off the grid near the Georgia border. Prep Girls Hoops made the trip up this season to watch them play McCormick HS. Plenty of young talent on this roster for years to come.
<strong>8- Cross HS (9-7) </strong>
The Lady Trojans play in the same region with Military Magnet and Whale Branch HS. Cross HS has lost to East Clarendon HS a few times this season along with Timberland HS and Summerville HS.<strong> [player_tooltip player_id="175391" first="Lauren" last="Middleton"]</strong> is leading the way for the Lady Trojans this season.
<strong>9- McBee HS (11-4) </strong>
The Lady Panthers have lost to Chesterfield HS - 3 times this season along with Class 2A program Latta HS.
<strong>10- Southside Christian (6-8) </strong>
The Lady Sabres played last season in the Class 1A State Championship Game. They play in the same region with High Point Academy and Calhoun Falls Charter.
