Dr. Phillips has had a fairly smooth ride to Lakeland winning their regional games by an average of 30 points defeating West Orange, Sarasota Riverview, and Gulf Coast. Sophomore guard [player_tooltip player_id="248320" first="Trinity" last="Turner"] is # 1 in the class of 2024 rankings and does it all for Dr. Phillips. She is averaging an impressive 15.6 points, 8.6 rebounds and 6.6 assists per game. She is an impressive ball handler, scorer, and all-around major impact player who is capable of putting Dr. Phillips on her back and led them to a championship. Senior guard [player_tooltip player_id="91573" first="Kalea" last="Rainey"] is the teams # 2 scorer, averaging just over 11 points per game.
Colonial HS has the talent and depth to win the whole thing. The Grenadiers are lead by Senior sharp shooter [player_tooltip player_id="243892" first="Carmen" last="Richardson"] and Junior Point Guard [player_tooltip player_id="166212" first="Sophya" last="Barreiro"]. Colonial ran the table in regionals to punch their ticket to Lakeland by defeating Timber Creek, Oakleaf, and Spruce Creek 41-37. Richardson leads the team in both points (14.3 PPG) and rebounds (5.7 RPG) while Barreiro lead the team in assists at 2.8 assists per game. The X factor for Colonial may be Junior [player_tooltip player_id="243934" first="Milan" last="Santos"]. Santos has a well-rounded offensive game averaging 10.4 points, 2.9 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game.

The Stingarees played one of the toughest schedules in the state, loading up on tough out of state games early in the season. While they struggled early, they are now battle tested and capable of taking down anyone. The head to Lakeland on an 11-game winning streak and have also had a fairly easy road to Lakeland defeating Coral Gables 84-3 in the regional quarterfinals, Doral Academy 55-23 in the regional semifinal, and defeating South Broward 52-36 in the regional final. Known for their full court pressure, Miami will lean on Senior Guards [player_tooltip player_id="243961" first="Janay" last="Quinn"] (11.9 points, 4.8 rebounds and 4.9 assists per game) and [player_tooltip player_id="154900" first="Cameron" last="Araujo"] (10.6 points and 4.9 rebounds per game). Junior Forward Joelle Wilson gives then an interior presence and a solid rebounder as she leads the team with 9.8 rebounds per game. Miami Senior HS is capable of winning the championship every single year and this is no different.

The head to Lakeland as the # 4 seed but are riding a 19-game winning streak and have a 23-3 overall record. Vero Beach toughest opponent to punch their ticket to the final four was Spanish River. The Lady Indians pulled out the Regional Finals win 70-61 and hope to keep their winning ways going in Lakeland! Vero Beach is led by [player_tooltip player_id="346835" first="Jaida" last="Civil"]. Civil is ranked in the top 5 in the Prep Girls Hoops Florida class of 2025 rankings. The super athletic Freshman wing led Vero in scoring at 16 points per game and flies all over the gym impacting the game through her scoring, shot blocking, deflections, and just overall energy. Senior Guard Ella Cone (11 PPG) and Junior Guard [player_tooltip player_id="243940" first="Savannah" last="Arroyo"] (13 PPG) give Vero Beach three players that average double digits. Will one of them step up and go for 20+ points? They may need it to take home the 7A State Championship.
