7. Sam Crispe Sam Crispe 6'1" | PF Arapahoe | 2022 State CO – Arapahoe
The best player on one of Colorado’s best teams, the 6’2″ Crispe is now up to #7 in the class. Few players command the paint like Crispe does. She’s an efficient scorer, smart and tough defender, and has some of the best footwork in our state. She’s scoring 14.8 points with 6.7 boards, leading the Warriors in a top-five season before heading off to play at Boston University next year.
10. Grace Talbot Grace Talbot 5'6" | PG Chatfield | 2022 State CO – Chatfield
As Chatfield’s stock has risen, so has Talbot’s. This former league MVP and future D1 star has scored 1216 points and dished out 232 assists as a Charger. She’s shooting better than ever hitting 36% from long range this season. Talbot impacts the game in every way, with 15.4 points, 4.1 boards, 3.5 assists, and 3.5 steals a game.
19. Avery Oaster Avery Oaster 6'0" | PF Green Mountain | 2022 State CO – Green Mountain
Granted I’m Avery’s high school and club coach but I think she’s top ten in the class. The problem is our strength of schedule has been light according to CHSAA RPI and Max Preps rankings. That changes this week, though, when Avery will have plenty of opportunities to show what she can do against heavyweights Lakewood, Cherry Creek, Evergreen, and D’Evelyn. She’s still up eight spots, though. So far she’s at 17.3 PPG, 8.9 RPG, 4.4 SPG, and 4.1 APG this season. Nearly every play the Rams make has Oaster’s fingerprints on it.
20. Ally Padilla Ally Padilla 5'8" | CG Berthoud | 2022 State CO – Berthoud
No matter how much talent Berthoud has graduated in recent seasons, as long as Padilla is on the floor this team just keeps winning. The do-it-all combo guard has bumped her assists (3.3 per game) and steals (4.1 per game) up this season while still scoring 15.7 PPG and grabbing 6.8 boards a game, guiding the Spartans to a 14-5 start against quality competition.
25. Gabby Beauperthuy Gabby Beauperthuy 5'11" | PF Doherty | 2022 State CO – Doherty
Take a solid player and then double the points, double the rebounds. Well, almost double. Beauperthuy is crushing it with 16.3 PPG and 9.2 RPG up from 8.9 PPG and 5.2 RPG last year.
30. Maddox Boston Maddox Boston 5'11" | SG Mead | 2022 State CO – Mead
Boston and her Mead comrades are all kinds of athletic. The 5’11” shooting guard is having a huge season with 15.3 points and 3.1 steals a game, hitting 38% of her threes.
40. Kate Gallery Kate Gallery 6'1" | SF Pueblo West | 2022 State CO – Pueblo West
Gallery put on a show hitting six of eight from deep against Doherty this season. The multi-sport star could go D1 in volleyball or basketball. She’s on the rise with a 13.6 PPG, 7.1 RPG season so far.
49. Sarah Kracht Sarah Kracht 5'6" | CG Meeker | 2022 State CO – Meeker
Props to this 5’5″ point guard on a high scoring season as she’s pouring in 23.1 points a game, nearly tops in the state. She seems to be no fluke as she hit 20.1 a game last year. Kracht exploded for 40 this week in a 67-65 win against Rangely.
52. Regan Keyter Regan Keyter 6'2" | PF ThunderRidge | 2022 State CO – ThunderRidge
Keyter is playing a big role for a hot Grizzlies’ team that just knocked off Regis Jesuit in overtime. The 6’2″ force inside is scoring 11.2 points and grabbing 6.0 boards a game. She can step out and shoot, too, with a dozen triples.
82. Chyann Kelly Chyann Kelly 5'6" | CG Platte Canyon | 2022 State CO – Platte Canyon
Kelly’s monster senior year has boosted her way up into the top 100 in the class. She’s using her speed to attack the basket and she’s hitting 31% of her threes, averaging 22.9 PPG and 5.1 SPG on the year.
