There was district semifinal action all across Michigan last night. Let’s look at 25 players that had stellar games and helped their teams move on to district championship games.

Dakota advanced to the district finals with a 57-29 win against Port Huron. Andrews showed a maturity to her game and showed that she’s a big threat on the perimeter. She had a game high 20 points.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="244745" first="Braxcynn" last="Baker"] (2024, CG, Lowell)</strong>
Lowell will move on to the district championship game with a win against Greenville. Baker showed why Lowell will be a tough out in the playoffs. She finished with an electric 29 points in the contest.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="147718" first="Rakiyah" last="Beal"] (2022, SF, Hamtramck)</strong>
Beal led her Hamtramck team to a tough 49-39 victory against Grosse Pointe South. She did was all over the stat sheet with 17 points, 8 rebounds and 6 steals.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="244256" first="Anaya" last="Billups"] (2025, PF, Detroit Edison)</strong>
Billup’s was lights out in Detroit Edison’s win. She hit 4 triples in route to a 24 point game. Billups added 5 rebounds and 2 blocks to her totals.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="189283" first="Ava" last="Boike"] (2022, G/F, Genesee Christian)</strong>
Genesee Christian had an impressive win and Boike proved, once again, that she can lead this team to trophies. She had a triple-double scoring 20 points, grabbing 10 boards, and getting 10 steals. Boike also added 5 assists to her totals.

Portland played very well in a 57-26 win against Hastings. Bower looked ready to make a run at another state championship, dropping in a game high 21 points.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="194461" first="Lexie" last="Bowers"] (2023, PG, Kent City)</strong>
Kent City advanced with a 64-29 win over Lakeview. Bowers controlled the game offensively, scoring 29 points and dishing out 6 assists.
<strong>Ella Castelucci (2022, SG, Edwardsburg)</strong>
Edwardsburg was excellent in a 64-14 win against Three Rivers. Castelucci led the way with a game high 19 points and added 4 steals.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="147737" first="Jazmin" last="Chupp"] (2022, CG, Arbor Prep)</strong>
Chupp was terrific on both ends in an electric offensive game by Arbor Prep. She finished with a double-double, scoring 16 points and adding 10 steals.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="190706" first="Mary" last="Copple"] (2023, PG, Brighton)</strong>
In one of the best games of the night, Brighton upset South Lyon East by a score of 59-53. Copple continued to prove that her name belongs among the top guards in the state. She finished with 27 points, 6 assists, 3 rebounds, and a steal.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="244268" first="Madelyn" last="Geers"] (2024, SG, Kent City)</strong>
Geers was in her do-it-all mode in Kent City’s victory. She scored 22 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. Geers will be critical to a deep playoff run for Kent City.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="281529" first="Cierra" last="Hughes"] (2023, PG, Romulus)</strong>
Romulus advanced with a 67-42 win against New Boston Huron. Hughes led the way with a triple-double. She had 16 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 steals. Her defense was the difference last night.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="147716" first="Abbey" last="Kimball"] (2022, PG, West Catholic)</strong>
The senior superstar was big in a semifinal win over Forest Hills Eastern. She finished with 26 points, and honestly, it felt like she could have scored at will last night.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="227594" first="Lydia" last="Meredith"] (2022, PG, St. Patrick’s)</strong>
St. Patrick’s was impressive in a 65-38 victory against Lansing Christian. Meredith controlled the action all night. She scored 18 points, had 7 swipes, and grabbed 7 rebounds.
<strong>Kourtney Mack (2023, SF, Dansville)</strong>
This is the time of year when players can easily make a name for themselves. Dansville beat Laingsburg 49-40, and Mack turned heads. She was solid on both ends, racking up 18 points and grabbing 4 steals.
<strong>Cali Miller (2022, G/F, Otsego)</strong>
Otsego advanced with an impressive 50-28 win over Plainwell. Miller was an impressive scorer off the ball. She finished with 17 points and 5 boards.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="147714" first="Mya" last="Petticord"] (2022, PG, Arbor Prep)</strong>
Arbor Prep exploded to a 90-22 win against Canton Prep. Petticord scored a game high 21 points. The senior superstar looks focused on bringing home championships.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="179103" first="Abby" last="Rey"] (2022, SF, Midland Dow)</strong>
Midland Dow advanced with a solid defensive effort. It was Rey and her scoring, specifically from inside the arc, that led the way offensively. She had 17 points and 3 assists.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="227582" first="Katie" last="Schaible"] (2022, PG, Edwardsburg)</strong>
Schaible played a terrific all around game in Edwardsburg’s victory. She scored 16 points, grabbed 7 boards, and had 7 steals. Her defense really set the tone of the night.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="147767" first="Madison" last="Skorupski"] (2022, CG, Clarkston)</strong>
Skorupski had a Miss Basketball type of season and it continued in her team’s 54-9 semifinal win. She finished the contest with a game high 20 points.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="147733" first="Sydney" last="Vis"] (2022, PF, South Christian)</strong>
South Christian moved on to the district finals with a 54-27 win over Kelloggsville. She got it done on both ends of the floor, finishing with 18 points in the game.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="147713" first="Ruby" last="Whitehorn"] (2022, PG, Detroit Edison)</strong>
Whitehorn was outstanding in DEPSA’s semifinal win. She scored 27 points, had 14 rebounds, dished out 5 assists, had 3 steals, and blocked 2 shots. All of this in only 3 quarters of play.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="147727" first="Nevaeh" last="Williams"] (2022, CG, Mt. Clemens)</strong>
Mt. Clemens defeated Memphis by a score of 59-43. Williams has been one of the most explosive scorers in the state this season and last night was no different. She dropped in 33 points and added 11 steals and 5 rebounds.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="178871" first="Erin" last="Young"] (2022, PF, Livonia Franklin)</strong>
Young led her team to a 48-23 victory over Livonia Churchill. She had a game high 18 points and also led her team with 6 rebounds.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="147734" first="Kendal" last="Zeiter"] (2022, PF, Troy)</strong>
Troy defeated Troy Athens in the semifinals. Zeiter led the way with her ability to score from so many spots on the floor. She finished with 24 points.
