Talyah Beard Talyah Beard 5'6" | SG Regina | 2023 State MI (2023, SG, Michigan Goonies 2023)
Beard is an underrated 2 guard in Michigan and she sent a message this weekend. She’s a quick athlete with very impressive straight line speed. This allows her to play and defend from baseline to baseline. Beard has quick hands on D, which helps her turn defense to offense in no time.
Rakell Brown (2025, PF, MSF Flight 15u, Hillsdale)
Brown, in my opinion, was the most valuable player on her team. She controlled the glass and limited the opponents offensive possessions. Brown looked to box out and read the ball off the rim. She was equally as influential on defense, protecting the rim and making the offense work around her.
Malyah Bynum Malyah Bynum 5'6" | PG Trenton | 2023 State MI (2023, PG, Downriver Elite 17u, Trenton)
The smooth lead guard was more than solid at The Exclusive. Bynum can push the pace with the dribble and is solid with the ball. She can change pace mid drible, turn on the jets, and finish at the rim. Bynum is a solid shooter off the catch, always staying balanced and catching the ball shot ready.
Hailey Freshcorn Hailey Freshcorn 5'8" | PG Columbia Central | 2024 State MI (2024, PG, MSF Flight 16u, Onsted)
Freshcorn started her rise up the prospect rankings after a terrific performance on the PGH Circuit. She continued her solid play on the circuit again with her performance over the weekend, showing every onlooker why she’s a top 40 2024 prospect in Michigan. Freshcorn is solid, steady, and confident with the ball in her hands. She’s a leader and she did a great job of controlling the feel and the pace of every game at The Exclusive. Freshcorn was easily the top scoring lead guard in her team’s pool at the event. If there was as MVP of Pool D, it would have to be Freshcorn.
Kamaria Page (2025, PG, Michigan Lady Playmakers 16u, Southfield A & T)
She turned heads at The Exclusive, but most probably didn’t realize that she was playing up. She scored from multiple levels and showed some real burst to the basket off the bounce. Page is going to be a menace for years to come on the PGH Circuit and in high school ball in Michigan.
What’s that? You want 1 more? Well here’s a 6th star from Michigan:
Avery Collins (2024, PG, MSF Flight 16u, Blissfield)
Collins showed a lot of upside at The Exclusive. She was excellent on the defensive end, where she could pressure the ball with her quick hands and eye for the rock. Collins also rebounded very well from the perimeter. Her and Freshcorn will be a tough backcourt this spring and summer.
