Whitney Rogers Whitney Rogers 5'6" | CG Cherokee | 2025 NC – Carolina Flames – TC Williams – Cherokee HS (pictured on front)
Rogers really came to play today in the LBI Opening. Whitney caught my eye from the get so with her 23 points in an opening round win over SC Future. She is a crafty scorer around the basket and along the 3-point line. Whitney really played like an experienced player at times. Rogers did a good job of understanding spaces on where to score the ball from and really shot it a high percentage clip.
Sara Larios Sara Larios 5'5" | PG Asheville Christian | 2025 State NC – Carolina Flames – TC Williams – Asheville Christian
Sara has a really nice shot release when she decides to shoot the ball from downtown. Larios played both backcourt positions at times today and really felt comfortable playing on the ball. She connected on few perimeter jumpers today to keep defenders honest. Sara averaged 3.7 ppg this past season at the varsity level for the Lady Lions.
Alicia McClain Alicia McClain 5'9" | SF Scotland | 2025 State NC – FBC Queen City UA 15U – Scotland HS (Laurinburg)
Alicia looked to drive and slash to the bucket today with us in attendance. McClain is a very active and agile player especially around the paint area. Alicia really does a great job of altering and challenging shots on the defensive end. This past season she averaged 6.6 ppg, 7.9 rebounds and 5.5 blocks (104 blocks on the season) for the Lady Scots. She seems to best fit playing around the block area and remaining active at all times.
Tionna Pettus Tionna Pettus 5'8" | PF Bessemer City | 2025 NC – FBC Queen City UA 15U – Bessemer City HS
Prep Girls Hoops first saw Pettus as an 8th grader at Comenius (Fort Mill, SC). Tionna piled up a double-double this past season 15.4 ppg and 11.7 rebounds for the Lady Yellow Jackets. She looks to do her best work inside the paint area in just staying active and picking up buckets. Tionna at times looks to bring good versatility to the floor with her ability to handle the rock, post up down low or defend out on the perimeter.
Jaida McClure Jaida McClure 5'9" | PG Providence Day | 2026 State NC (2026) – FBC Queen City UA 15U – Providence Day
Jaida plays so mature for her age and at times just physically overpowers players to the cup. Jaida just like Pettus we first saw her at Comenius (Fort Mill, SC) last season. McClure is so crafty with the ball and has uncanny court vision at times she seems to be a few seconds ahead of everyone else on the floor. She won’t hesitate at all to jump on the floor for a loose ball or even take a charge while remaining extremely vocal with her teammates on the floor. McClure plays the game with a great basketball feel and IQ.
