Tootie Jordan is the next big thing coming out of Louisville, she has star potential written all over her. Jordan is very confident in her game but she is humble at the same time. She has elite ball handling skills, along with an extremely quick first step. Watching her play I liked the fact that she never wasted her dribble. Every dribble move she used was to put herself in position to score, by either getting to the rim for layup or creating space for a jump shot. Jordan also has excellent instincts on defense, there was a possession when she jumped the passing lane, stole the ball, and went the other way in transition for a layup. After displaying her overall talent, skills, and abilities Tootie was awarded Overall MVP of the Midwest Spotlight Camp.
Adrianna Brown-2027
I watched Adrianna Brown play for KY Premier back in July at the Run 4 Roses Classic. She impressed me with how fast she was with the ball in her hands, it seemed like every time I looked up she was leading the fast break. Seeing her again at the Midwest Spotlight it was obvious she had improved her game since then. Brown is a high motor player that gives it her all on both ends of the floor. She is a solid shooter from the perimeter but it is her relentless slashing ability that makes her hard to stop. Brown can blow past any defender with her elite speed and quickness. She is great at drawing contact while scoring at the rim which allows her to get to the free throw line quite often.
Annette Miller Annette Miller 5'8" | SF George Rogers Clark | 2026 State KY -2026
Annette Miller Annette Miller 5'8" | SF George Rogers Clark | 2026 State KY is a force in the interior she has great upper and lower body strength. Making it easy for her to gain leverage, while boxing out increasing her chances for rebounds. Miller has excellent mobility she runs the floor well in transition always making herself available for a scoring opportunity. Miller has a solid all around game she can score inside and from the perimeter. Her low post defense is what I liked the most it is very difficult to get deep position against her. Miller’s dominant performance earned her Midwest Spotlight 9th Grade MVP honors.
Sarai Hopson-2029
Columbus, Ohio’s own Sarai Hopson has tremendous upside and endless potential. When she steps foot on the court you better get ready for a show because she is very exciting to watch. Hopson has the perfect build for a basketball player her long arms and elite athleticism gives her an advantage on the court, and she utilizes her gifts very well. She played tenacious on ball defense applying suffocating ball pressure which allowed her to come up with several steals. Those steals led to points in transition where she most of time finished with an acrobatic style layup. There is not many prospects at this age that can do up and under layups with ease. Hopson was very consistent shooting from the perimeter as well she has a smooth left hand jump shot and she does not miss often. Her talent did not go unnoticed she left Kentucky with a Midwest Spotlight 6th Grade MVP Award.
Kyla Crutcher-2027
Kyla Crutcher is an ultimate competitor she gives it her all on every possession. She has a knack for rebounding, and she knows how to at anticipate where the ball will come off the rim. Crutcher shot the lights out at the Midwest Spotlight she hit several three’s from long distance. She followed her shot on almost every attempt made or missed, which was even more impressive.
Nia Carr Nia Carr 5'5" | PG Great Crossing | 2027 State KY -2027
Nia Carr Nia Carr 5'5" | PG Great Crossing | 2027 State KY is a pure point guard and she is most effective with the ball in her hands. Carr has great playmaking ability, she is exceptional at creating scoring opportunities for herself and others. The way she handles the ball along with her next level agility and quickness makes it hard for a defender to keep her in front of them. Carr repeatedly penetrated the defense where she either scored a bucket at in the paint or kicked it out to an open teammate.
