The post position is the most sought after position for college coaches. High schools with a solid post usually find success as control of the paint is a foundational part of the game. Here are some of the top freshman post entering high school this year with a few that should make an impact immediately.

Kirsten Holt l 6-1

Kirsten has good size for a front court player in high school and she finishes well by the basket. She has experience playing with and against high school aged players and should be able to contribute immediately from day one.

Jayla Lilly l 6-0

Jayla is strong and physical inside. Smaller players bounce off of her as she can out muscle most players in her age group. It will be interesting to see how she competes against players of equal strength in high school.

[player_tooltip player_id='433859' first='Hailey' last='Smith'] l 6-0

Hailey can add another level of size at her high school program and should log some minutes as a freshman.

[player_tooltip player_id='433837' first='Sophie' last='Brooks'] l 6-0

Sophie has all of the physical tools in place to be a dominant force in high school. She has a strong frame and intimidating physique. Being a premier post well come as she gets a little quicker and finishes better on the break.

[player_tooltip player_id='433860' first='Jacara' last='Spencer'] l 6-0

Jacara looks great in spurts when watching her but seems to get winded quickily. When she gets her conditioning up she can prove to be impactful in high school.

[player_tooltip player_id='433835' first='Savannah' last='Whitley'] l 6-1

Savannah is athletic for her size an is a good shot blocker with good timing. I will like to see that continue in high school with her starting to turn the blocks into transition points.

Genesis Schneeberg l 6-0

Genesis has a mature college frame and is very physical. She should dominate the public high school level off of her aggressiveness alone. I expect her to have an impact at whatever program she ends up at.

[player_tooltip player_id='433841' first='Alexandra' last='Vandiver'] l 6-0

Alexandra is an excellent shot blocker and three point shooter making her a solid inside out threat. She can expand her game by attacking the rim tighter from the perimeter but her threat to shoot creates opportunities for her and her teammates.

[player_tooltip player_id='433800' first='Ari' last='Harris-Mott'] l 6-3

Ari is the tallest in the grooup and has the height and length and can alter shots in the lane without even jumping. She is matched up routinely against players up to five inches shorter than her but doesn't always use her height to her advantage. Her offensive game should expand as she gains confidence.

[player_tooltip player_id='433840' first='Kierra' last='West'] l 6-0

Kierra is a really good rebounder and attacks to offensive glass and finishes her teammate's misses. She has so good finishing skills in the paint with a good touch on her hook shot. Her ability to knock down the three adds another layer to her game.
