Sunday, August 28th, Prep Girls Hoops Indiana hosted its first-ever Freshman Showcase. The event, which took place at Fishers High School, included exactly 100 registered participants, all from the 2026 class. I have already highlighted a handful of standouts in a couple of previous articles, but I also wanted to take the time to circle back and discuss many of the other girls who participated in the showcase. Also, once again, I want to thank all of the players, parents, and support staff who made this event a success!
TEAM 7:
#220 –
Audra Parker
Audra
Parker
6'0" | SF
Westfield | 2026
IN
– Westfield H.S. – Audra has a solid to strong frame, a little length, and she’s a solid frontline athlete. She’ll need to let the game come to her a little more, but she has some skill, and she plays with a nice motor.
#221 – Kayla Stidham Kayla Stidham 6'0" | SF Hamilton Southeastern | 2026 State IN – Hamilton Southeastern H.S. – Kayla is one of the better prospects in the 2026 class, and it’s because she combines nice size, strength, and solid athleticism, with good perimeter skill and a consistent jumper.
#395 – Maddy Wethington Maddy Wethington 5'7" | CG Danville Community | 2026 IN – Danville Community H.S. – Madison grew on me as the day wore on, because she is constantly productive. She has some strength, she’s tough, she works hard, and she figures out ways to contribute.
#396 – Shaylyn Hawk Shaylyn Hawk 5'7" | SG Washington | 2026 IN – Washington H.S. – Washington has a nice Freshmen group, and Shaylyn has the athletic potential to contribute early. She plays hard, she can run & jump, and she showed some shooting touch outside.
#400 – Layne Nordstrom Layne Nordstrom 5'6" | PG Lake Zurich | 2026 State IL – Lake Zurich H.S. (IL) – Layne showed nice potential at the event. She has a strong frame, plus she was a solid athlete. I felt like she was more of a combo guard than a point, and she shot it fairly well.
#438 – Adysson Kircher Adysson Kircher 5'5" | CG Northeastern | 2026 State IN – Northeastern H.S. – Ady has an “it” factor to her game, and I think she’ll get better in time. She has length, wiry strength, and she’s quick/fast. She seemed creative with the ball and found teammates.
#441 – Harley Toppe Harley Toppe 5'6" | PG Brownstown Central | 2026 IN – Brownstown Central H.S. – Harley will definitely need to work on her strength for the Varsity level, but she has tremendous length, speed and quickness, and she flashed a nice, balanced skillset all day.
#442 – Abbigail Harris Abbigail Harris 5'6" | CG Clinton Central | 2026 IN – Clinton Central H.S. – Abbigail is another guard who could stand to get stronger, but she is long, quick/fast, and somewhat bouncy. She showed a nice feistiness and creativity to her game as well.
#459 – Lilly Sylvester Lilly Sylvester 5'9" | SF Yorktown | 2026 IN – Yorktown H.S. – Lilly has a solid to strong, athletic frame. She has a little length and plays extremely hard, plus she’s versatile. She was comfortable around the perimeter, but she was also good in the mid-post.
TEAM 8:
#34 –
Jayden Scott
Jayden
Scott
5'11" | SF
Castle | 2026
State
IN
– Castle H.S. – Jayden is one of the more athletic kids in the 2026 class. She has great length, and athletic frame, and she can run & jump, plus she shows some bounce. She can play in the mid-post or outside.
#119 – Olivia Murray Olivia Murray 5'8" | PF Westfield | 2026 IN – Westfield H.S. – Olivia is a strong, almost overpowering forward against her peers. She’s a solid on-the-floor athlete, and she plays extremely hard. She flashed some skill, inside and out, all day.
#382 – Maryrose Felling Maryrose Felling 5'8" | SG Triton Central | 2026 State IN – Triton Central H.S. – Maryrose might very well be the best shooter in this class. She has a strong frame, she’s good with the ball, but it’s her ability to bury shots, and with range, that help her stand out.
#384 – Cadynce Clark Cadynce Clark 5'8" | CG Valparaiso | 2026 State IN – Valparaiso H.S. – Cadynce is the other half of a nice, young, Valparaiso backcourt. She has an athletic frame, some length, and she moves well in most directions. She has a balanced skillset and a nice motor.
#392 – Kennedy Holman Kennedy Holman 5'8" | PG Hamilton Southeastern | 2026 State IN – Hamilton Southeastern H.S. – see event eval here
#446 – Ava Myers Ava Myers 5'9" | SG Carroll (Fort Wayne) | 2026 IN – Carroll H.S. (Fort Wayne) – Ava is incredibly intriguing, because I think she might still have 2-3 inches left to grow. She is extremely long, fluidly athletic, fast, she plays with a motor, and she has a solid skillset.
#455 – Hannah Stepp Hannah Stepp 5'11" | PF West Vigo | 2026 IN – West Vigo H.S. – see event eval here
#456 – Whitney Ankenbruck Whitney Ankenbruck 5'9" | SF Homestead | 2026 State IN – Homestead H.S. – Whitney is a strong and physical wing prospect. She plays with a nice motor, she has a good basketball IQ, and she plays with a versatile skillset outside and in the mid-post.
#494 – Alyx Kendall Alyx Kendall 6'1" | PF Bishop Chatard | 2026 IN – Bishop Chatard H.S. – This was my first time seeing Alyx, and she is another with a lot of upside. She is long, wiry-strong, and tall. She needs to grow into her frame, but she flashed skill at all three levels.
#496 – Laniah Wills Laniah Wills 6'0" | SF Lapel | 2026 State IN – Lapel H.S. – see event eval here
