This was the toughest spot to fill, because there are other worthy candidates below, but Whitney had a great Spring & Summer, she continues to grow her game, and she picked up her first Division-I offer with other D1 interest coming quickly. She is tough-nosed, strong, and she plays with a nonstop motor. She can really shoot it from the perimeter, and she rebounds her position well. I’ll be curious to see if she can become a more dynamic playmaker off the bounce, because she has good vision and awareness.

Whitney has been a favorite to watch all Spring & Summer because of her outstanding motor, toughness, and competitiveness. She showed off her ability to knock down jump-shots at a high level on Friday. When she has any rhythm, there’s a good chance it’s going in. She is a nice North/South athlete, and she understands how to run lanes and find openings in the defense in transition, plus she moves well without the ball in the half-court and is a willing & capable screener. She just does so many of the “little things”, that combined with her skill, she has drawn a great deal of interest this year.

Whitney has become a favorite of mine to watch over the last couple of grassroots seasons, and she just continues to find ways to impact the game more and more. She is one of the toughest kids on the circuit, she is physical, aggressive, but also skilled and has a high basketball IQ. She has turned into a dangerous shooter from outside, she’s a nice North/South driver, and she has started to handle it more in transition and initiate the offense. She has been one of the stronger kids on her team each of the last two Summers, so she has defended forwards. I would like to see her defend out on the floor more.
