The featured image is of [player_tooltip player_id='419439' first='Lillian' last='Barnes'] (2026) of Valparaiso High School.

Sunday, August 28th, Prep Girls Hoops Indiana hosted its first-ever Freshman Showcase. The event, which took place at Fishers High School, included exactly 100 registered participants, all from the 2026 class. I have already highlighted a handful of standouts in a couple of previous articles, but I also wanted to take the time to circle back and discuss many of the other girls who participated in the showcase. Also, once again, I want to thank all of the players, parents, and support staff who made this event a success!

TEAM 9:
#133 - [player_tooltip player_id='419439' first='Lillian' last='Barnes'] - Valparaiso H.S. - see event eval here

#386 - [player_tooltip player_id='486495' first='Olivia' last='Jones'] - Pendleton Heights H.S. - Olivia is a long, wiry prospect with an athletic frame. She is a North/South athlete, she has some bounce to her, and she plays with a nice motor. She has a balanced skillset as well.

#390 - [player_tooltip player_id='486531' first='MaKayla' last='Hatcher'] - Westfield H.S. - MaKayla is a very strong, almost overpowering point guard prospect at her age. She showed North/South speed, she played fast and aggressive, and she had a solid feel for the game.

#401 - [player_tooltip player_id='486513' first='Brennah' last='Cerny'] - Roncalli H.S. - Brennah is one of those wait-and-see prospects, because she looks like she still has some growth left in her. She'll need to get stronger as well, but she has speed and skill on the perimeter.

#428 - [player_tooltip player_id='486488' first='Antonette' last='Green'] - Hamilton Southeastern H.S. - Antonette had a really nice day. She is a strong and compact playmaker with speed and quickness. She also made different types of shots from all over the floor.

#437 - [player_tooltip player_id='486560' first='Ashley' last='Garcia'] - Tri-West H.S. - Ashley is a little undersized for how she plays, but she makes up for it with strength and a nice motor. She is definitely more of a '2' than a '1', but she can make shots at each level.

#449 - [player_tooltip player_id='486550' first='Riley' last='Rarick'] - Borden H.S. - see event eval here

#474 - [player_tooltip player_id='486503' first='Melaney' last='Williams'] - Merrillville H.S. - Right now, Melaney is more athlete than ballplayer, but she has a great deal of upside because of it. She has nice length, a wiry-strong frame, and she can really run and has nice bounce.

#492 - [player_tooltip player_id='486522' first='Ava' last='Wheeler'] - Borden H.S. - see event eval here

#498 - [player_tooltip player_id='486478' first='Caroline' last='Quigley'] - Noblesville H.S. - see event eval here

TEAM 10:
#173 - [player_tooltip player_id='486532' first='Lila' last='Caperton'] - Mooresville H.S. - Lila has a solid to strong frame, and she plays with a really nice motor. I don't know that she'll grow, so continued work on her mid-post game is ideal. She has a good IQ and some skill.

#381 - [player_tooltip player_id='486514' first='Anisa' last='Tonkel'] - Columbia City H.S. - Anisa is a nice, wiry-strong, wing athlete. She has solid North/South speed and a little bounce in her step. She plays with a tremendous amount of energy and a versatile skillset.

#404 - [player_tooltip player_id='486504' first='Ellie' last='Keller'] - Shelbyville H.S. - Ellie could definitely use some strength for the Varsity level, but she has length, solid speed and quickness, and she has a balanced skillset. She looks to be more of a shooter right now.

#423 - [player_tooltip player_id='486496' first='Berkeley' last='Williams'] - Plainfield H.S. - Berkeley is already a favorite of mine to watch, strictly because she plays so hard and competes every possession. She has a balanced skillset, a good basketball IQ, and she's tough.

#425 - [player_tooltip player_id='486479' first='Addison' last='Penziol'] - La Lumiere Preparatory - Addison has grown a couple of inches since I last saw her, and she has a really nice floor game. She possesses speed & quickness, plus she just has a natural feel for the PG position.

#435 - [player_tooltip player_id='486541' first='Katherine' last='Roh'] - Westfield H.S. - Kate isn't very tall, but she is fairly strong. She has nice quickness, and she has a very feisty/scrappy style of play. She can really annoy opposing ball-handlers, and she creates well offensively.

#436 - [player_tooltip player_id='486561' first='Nya' last='Dame'] - Vincennes Rivet H.S. - Nya is another shorter but strong point guard prospect. She is a really nice athlete in all directions, she plays with a motor, and she has some length. She can act as a facilitator or scorer.

#443 - [player_tooltip player_id='486523' first='Ella' last='Williams'] - Washington H.S. - Ella is a long, wiry, fluid athlete. She's a decent shooter outside, she has some ball skill, and she's a nice passer. I think she's more of a '2' than a '1' right now, but she can play either spot.

#454 - [player_tooltip player_id='486551' first='Valencia' last='Miller'] - Culver Academy - Valencia is a long, wiry-strong, very athletic playmaker. She was great in transition, always attacking the rim. I think she's more of a point forward type, but she definitely has potential.

#493 - [player_tooltip player_id='462366' first='Alivia' last='Bolinger'] - Concordia Lutheran H.S. - Alivia has a solid frame, good length, and she's a solid athlete in most directions. She plays with a nice motor, tries to be physical and seek contact, and she can play in the mid-post.
